Evil Geniuses finalized its CS:GO roster, adding IGL Sanzhar “neaLaN” Iskhakov, head coach Daniel “Vorborg” Vorborg, and rifler Jadan “HexT” Postma to its main lineup ahead of 2022 BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

The star IGL of team K23, neaLaN, has joined EG to replace Jake “Stewie2K” Yip, who stepped down from the CS:GO roster a few days ago to focus exclusively on content creation. The 21-year-old neaLaN spent more than two years as IGL with K23, leading the squad to victories in many B-Tier competitions as well as a few A-Tier events. The Kazakhstani pro had a significant impact on the team’s performance since his arrival, with his individual performance as a leader and support helping the team become the 14th best in the world earlier this year, according to HLTV.

EG named Daniel “Vorborg” Vorborg as the team’s new head coach, proving the long-running speculations accurate. Vorborg will replace Damien “malek” Marcel, who was moved to an inactive role by the team after its disastrous first half in 2022. Furthermore, the organization also promoted Jadan “HexT” Postma to the main roster to replace William “RUSH” Wierzba. The 20-years-old was acquired by EG along with the rest of the Carpe Diem roster in June as a part of the Blueprint Project.

EG’s massive roster reshuffle came as an aftermath of their disastrous performance in the first half of 2022. Without winning a single series, they were disqualified from the ESL Pro League, BLAST Spring Groups, and BLAST Spring Showdown, and they were unable to even qualify for a number of illustrious tournaments including IEM Dallas 2022 and BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022.

  • Tsvetelin “CeRq” Dimitrov
  • Vincent “Brehze” Cayonte
  • Timothy “autimatic” Ta
  • Sanzhar “neaLaN” İshakov
  • Jaden “HexT” Postma
  •  Daniel “Vorborg” Vorborg (Coach)

Misutaa’s expected move to EG has been reportedly canceled

Earlier this week, a number of online reports claimed that Vitality’s top rifler Kévin “misutaaa” Rabier would replace William “RUSH” Wierzba in EG’s starting lineup. According to the reports by HLTV, the organization decided to keep a core of three North American players to continue playing in NA’s Region.

As a result, the Frenchman’s move to EG fell through at the last minute. If Misutaaa had been added to the squad, the team would have a stronger European core and would be required to compete in the European league. However, the organization seems to have no plans to compete in the European league, which is considered to be far more competitive than the leagues in North America.
