All about PMPL 2023 Vietnam Spring

PUBG Mobile’s 2023 season is about to begin in several regions, with the PMPL, the first official tournament. In Vietnam, the top 20 teams in the country are competing in a two-week competition starting on February 15.

The organization has changed the Southeast Asia Pro League format, eliminating the Grand Final in favor of a single phase to select the winner. In addition, a new 10-point matrix has been added to the scoring system, emphasizing skill-based play.

PMPL 2023 Vietnam Spring Format

Each week they are played from Wednesday to Sunday, and 25 matches will be played weekly over the five days. The teams are divided into five groups, each group consisting of four teams.

All teams are randomly assigned to each group during the first week, which runs from February 15 to 19.

The first week of play of the PMPL 2023 determines the distribution of the teams into groups for the second week, which takes place from February 22 to 26. All points accumulated by the teams throughout the ten matchdays will be used to compile an overall scoreboard for the event.

The strongest teams seek victory

In the final year, the strongest Vietnamese team, D’Xavier, will try to continue their winning trend. In contrast, the mythical Box Gaming team will compete fiercely to win the championship. However, it is essential to remember that the performance of both experienced teams suffered badly in PMGC 2022, as they lost form in the league phase and failed to make it to the superfinal.

Heading into the PMPL 2023 Vietnam Spring team D’Xavier signed former Eagle Esports player Ngô “CHUA” Đình Quang Anh. At the same time, team Box Gaming added three new players to their roster.

While V Gaming tries to recapture its former glory, Eagle Esports and BN United, who have been on the podium for the past seasons, will compete with the ambition to be first championships.

On the other hand, the modest Genius Esports team, which took home the National Championship, will try to shine again on the main stage. In the National Championship, Resurgent took second place and Goat Girl third place; both teams are fighting to advance further on the podium.
