While it is true that rescheduling matches can be somewhat annoying for the fans and the players themselves, there is no doubt that the reason Respawn decides to do so is beneficial for the whole community.

Since the launch of the new season of Apex Legends, many errors have been reported regarding server connection problems. While this all started only in the casual games, it moved to the top tier of the Apex scene, the ALGS. Since then, concern on Respawn’s part has grown, and they have now decided to reschedule matches to focus on fixing these bugs.

Respawn announces the delay of the ALGS matches

In the last few hours, Respawn Entertainment announced the delay of this week’s ALGS games to fix server errors.

This is with the aim that Respawn, the game’s developers, solve the problems with the servers brought by the new season of the game, Revelry.

Let’s remember that the ALGS is the highest-level tournament in the competitive scene of Apex Legends, where the best teams in the world fight to seal their ticket to the playoffs. In addition, the teams that will play the international events in LAN scenarios are known from here.

However, during the last few weeks, the ALGS has suffered many problems regarding the game’s servers. Specifically, these errors disconnect players, leaving them immobile or simply stopping games for no reason. As a result, all professional players, teams, and casters have made several complaints to get these problems fixed.

To solve these problems, Respawn announced the delay of the games that would be played this weekend for the EMEA, NA, and APAC N regions. As a result, we have the following rescheduling:

  • APAC NA: April 14
  • NA and EMEA: April 16

Apex and its constant bugs

It is no secret that Apex Legends has had many bugs throughout its history, but these generally affected casual games. There were always connection problems, hackers, and many others that undoubtedly affected the players’ experience. However, the fact that this has reached professional games is already too much.

After many complaints from players, teams, and community members, Respawn stated that all the connection issues had been identified and promised to fix them as quickly as possible.

One of the temporary solutions by Respawn was to disable the Command Center. That is, we could no longer see the perspective of several teams simultaneously in a match. However, the problems have continued on the official Apex servers. As a result, Respawn has decided to take a fair amount of time to fix the issues.

This decision was undoubtedly received with much positivism from the community and players. It is a way for developers to recognize their mistakes and devote all their efforts to correcting them.
