New Apex hack lets cheaters control your weapon

Undoubtedly, players of any multiplayer video game look for any way to stand out and obtain greater rewards. But unfortunately, such is the eagerness to be the “best” that some players often use cheats to achieve their objectives.

As we noted in streamer Johnny Price’s Twitter post, the new Apex hack controls weapons firing until they run out of ammo. But that’s not all, as the weapon will repeat the process indefinitely. That is, you will never stop firing. This will empty the player’s entire inventory, expose their location, and leave them defenseless.

Hacks are prevalent in Apex Legends

Players using cheats are nothing new in Apex Legends. However, since the game’s launch, Respawn has had to fight against them constantly, and it’s been an uphill battle to prevent them.

With each season, the reports are that there are many more cheaters within the game. And while these problems are often seen in low ranks, they have even been in ranked matches. For example, about a month ago, we observed several Predator players cheating in a game.

This is the second major hack that has been discovered in this season 16 of Apex Legends. The first one was reported last February 16, when streamer gdolphn posted on his Twitter account a hack that emptied his weapon’s magazine when hitting an enemy.

The combination of these cheats is detrimental to the game’s health, of that there is no doubt. A cheater using one of these hacks can define a long game in a competitive or non-competitive lobby. On the other hand, this type of experience can alienate new players.

The developers have not discussed these allegations over the last few days. However, in an interview, they stated that they continue their war against cheaters and aim to create an enjoyable and competitive gaming environment.
