After several weeks of delay, Activision has finally announced that the World Series of Warzone (WSOW) will return at the end of May with the Phase 1 qualifier.
After the announcement several months ago, the Call of Duty community was not only excited about these competitive games but also expected what would happen since it is no secret that there has been a big problem with the servers since the launch of season 2.
However, with the arrival of season 3, these problems seem to have been solved, and Activision ratified it by publishing the return of the WSOW.

As we can see, the image details that the qualifiers in North America will be played next May 31 and the finals on June 7. Meanwhile, the qualifiers will be played in Europe on June 1, and the finals a week later.
Several weeks ago, some games of the WSOW qualifiers were played, where 50 teams (of three players), both from North America and Europe, managed to advance to Phase 1 of the qualifiers. However, the different matches started to present many problems regarding the servers, making it impossible for players to finish the games. As a result, Activision decided to postpone WSOW until these bugs were fixed.
Call of Duty has just postponed the World Series of Warzone EU and NA qualifier matches because the servers kept crashing once AI and strongholds spawned into the map.
Embarrassing and makes myself and everyone else wonder if Warzone ranked is going to be dead on arrival.

COD server problems fixed
According to the Trello board that Activision shared with the community so that everyone could find out live about the game’s bugs, the developers confirmed that the server bugs had been fixed.

This problem, according to reports, was specifically based on the AI in Modern Warfare 2. As a result, the game’s community started requesting Activision to remove the AI fighters that appear in Warzone 2. However, it is highly unlikely that Activision will make this decision, as this has been one of the new features they have brought for Warzone 2.
With everything in place regarding the server bugs, the rest of the WSOW is expected to occur without any problems. In addition, all those frequent game players have reported in the last few days that, since the arrival of season 3, the problems with the servers are practically null.
Finally, remember that the WSOW is an open tournament for the entire Warzone 2 community worldwide. This tournament has a prize pool of $1.2M, and the grand final will be played in a 100% LAN environment. The trio that manages to win the WSOW champions trophy will take home the title of the best team in the world and, in addition, a juicy cash prize of $600,000.
