Vondel: New Warzone 2 map to arrive in Season 4

For several months, there have been many rumors about a possible new map for Warzone 2, which would be set in the beautiful European city of Amsterdam. Then, about a month ago, different images of Vondel, the map that would arrive soon in the game, were leaked, and Activision was ready to apply different DMCA blocks.

However, just a few hours ago, more details were revealed about Vondel, which will be the new Warzone 2 map and will arrive, according to the leakers, for Season 4 in mid-June.

While it is true that Activision has not yet released anything official about a new Warzone 2 map, there has been talking for several weeks about Vondel, a map set in Amsterdam that would arrive in the game for Season 4.

According to leakers, this will be one of the maps that offer a truly urban experience in the game and would be available in Resurgence mode.

According to reports, Vondel is a map considered “medium,” meaning it is smaller than Al Mazrah and larger than Ashika Island. On the other hand, it is also noted that this map would be available only in DMZ and Resurgence modes. However, it is not ruled out that in the future, it will be added to the Battle Royale list, which would be the first time in history since the launch of this game mode that Warzone has two maps in parallel in BR.

Vondel is a purely urban map

There is no doubt that in Al Mazrah, we can consider some POIs as urban, such as Al Mazrah City, surrounded by skyscrapers and high-rise buildings. However, many locations have a large space, and many players avoid this POI.

If Vondel arrives in Warzone 2 Season 4, we could have a completely different map than we’ve seen before in Warzone. Undoubtedly, it is a 180° change to what is currently Al Mazrah or even the iconic and much-missed Verdansk.

As mentioned, Activision has not made any official announcement regarding this map. However, leakers mention that this map was created by Beenox, who created the popular Rebirth Island from the original Warzone.

Activision wants Warzone to be reborn

Activision is in constant development to try to make Warzone 2 reborn after losing a lot of popularity in recent months. Undoubtedly, this is due to the constant bugs the game has and players have lost interest.

However, the developers know that a new map could change this situation, as with the release of Ashika Island, the community was a bit more satisfied. Likewise, many cheaters, game performance problems, and server instability still make playing the game practically impossible.
