OG has completed its roster for CS:GO, acquiring Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov in place of Mateusz “mantuu” Wilczewski. After the player break, the Russian marksman will join the other members of OG at the team’s Bootcamp in preparation for the upcoming 2022 BLAST Premier Fall Groups.

After showing a great performance with Team Spirit, the Russian CS:GO pro has joined OG, utilizing the stand-in opportunity with the team. As Team Spirit intended to move their team to Serbia, Degster left the organization soon after placing in the top 4 at the PGL Antwerp Major.

The 20-year-old marksman initially joined OG for the BLAST Premier: Spring Finals 2022 in place of mantuu, who was unable to compete due to illness after taking part in the Global Esports Tour Dubai. He ended the competition as the sixth-best player, and thanks to his outstanding performance, the team was able to advance to the playoffs.

After the BLAST tournament, the Polish AWPer mantuu made a comeback, but OG wasn’t as successful with him as they were with degster. The marksman received a warm welcome from many OG members, and the veteran himself voiced his joy at joining the team.

“We are thrilled to announce that Degster will be joining the OG Family! With this signing, we start a whole new era for OG CSGO, and we are convinced that it will bring a lot more excitement and wins!” — JMR Luna, CEO of OG esports

“I’m glad to tell you that from this day I am in the OG team. After an unforgettable performance at Blast Premier Spring final 2022, I couldn’t choose another team.” — Abdulkhalik “degster” Gasanov

The era of the old OG is over

Mateusz, who joined OG as a promising all-rounder rookie, has departed from the team as a legendary sniper after spending a thousand days under the OG banner. He was the last remaining member of the founding CS: GO lineup that was acquired by OG in 2019. However, as time with the OG is over, he will seek new opportunities in CS:GO as a free agent.

The new CS:GO lineup of OG

  • Shahar “flameZ” Shushan
  • Nemanja “nexa” Isaković – IGL
  • Adam “NEOFRAG” Zouhar
  • Maciej “F1KU” Miklas
  • Abdul “degster” Gasanov
  • Casper “ruggah” Due – Coach
  • Nikolaj “niko” Kristensen (inactive)
  • Valdemar “valde” Bjørn Vangså (inactive)

After the player break, Degster will reunite with the other OG members at the organization’s Bootcamp at Red Bull’s Athlete Performance Center in Salzburg, Austria. The squad will begin their preparations for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Group qualifiers and the IEM Rio Major. He will debut as OG’s primary lineup member in the BLAST Premier Fall Groups, which are set to take place from August 19–28.
