When will Warzone 2 private games arrive?

Many players wonder when private matches will be coming to the Call of Duy: Warzone 2 and fortunately, the developers have commented on the topic.

Private matches are pretty much a staple feature in any Call of Duty title, especially when it comes to the multiplayer experience.

Fortunately for those who enjoy private matches, Modern Warfare 2 offered the feature at launch—allowing players to host their custom games.

When will private matches be released?

During a press conference ahead of the Warzone 2 Season 1 Reloaded update, Activision revealed that they plan to introduce Private Matches “in the new year (2023)”.

Specifically, the developers stated that players could expect Warzone 2 Private Matches in early 2023. But unfortunately, they did not have an “exact date to share.”

Additionally, Activision claims to have big plans for “improvements as time passes” once the feature launches. This should include the ability to host your tournaments and much more.

If the comments are accurate, development is on a right track. Hopefully, we will see the release of the feature soon, perhaps coinciding with the second season’s premiere.

Although we should note that, in the past, other features have been delayed. For example, the leaderboard and combat log function for Warzone 2. If other problems arise, the developers may delay the launch of private games.

• There are no plans to add backplates while running
• Plating while running through the gates should work after the new update
• Private matches are planned for early next year, with expanded support for a variety of features
• More QoL to come in future updates

Warzone 2.0 and Modern Warfare 2 season 2 release dates

According to the current date when the Season 1 Battle Pass timer, the second season of Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 should begin on Wednesday, February 1.

But as we all know, this could change down the road. However, the average length of the Call of Duty season is about two months. RIght now, MW2 and Warzone 2 exceed that margin a bit, given that Season 1 started on November 16.

Warzone 2 and Modern Warfare 2 Season 2 Content

Based on available information, we believe Season 2 will bring with it the following content:

• New weapons and multiplayer maps
• Because Al Mazrah is a new map, no new Battle Royale map is expected, but some adjustments are expected
