European RMR B will be the second European qualifier for BLAST.tv Paris Major. The tournament is scheduled to take place right after European RMR A, between April 11-15.

Even though there are only three Legend Status slots available for this qualifier, the stakes are very high. The Paris Major will be one of the most important CS:GO events of the entire season, so everyone wants to take part in it and why not, win a lot of money in the process.

European RMR B location, format, and teams

This qualifier will take place in Copenhagen, Denmark. A total of 16 teams will play in it and many of these teams are very strong. The competitive format will be the usual one: Swiss System followed by tiebreakers to determine who gets the Legend spots and who gets the Challenger Spots.

The top eight teams qualify for the Major directly, while the 9th-11th place teams go to the EU Decider Bracket, which will be a six-team tournament that offers one last ticket for the Paris Major.

Here are the 16 teams that will play in European RMR B:

  • Heroic
  • Cloud9
  • Team Spirit
  • BIG
  • ENCE
  • Team Vitality
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas
  • 9INE
  • G2 Esports
  • Eternal Fire
  • Astralis
  • Monte
  • iNation
  • Aurora Gaming
  • forZe
  • 500

The strongest eight teams in the tournament are listed below:

  • Heroic
  • G2 Esports
  • Team Vitality
  • Cloud9
  • ENCE
  • Astralis
  • BIG
  • Ninjas in Pyjamas

Several other teams that are definitely worth watching are 500, Monte, and Team Spirit. Any one of these teams could easily cause serious upsets in the competition.

The biggest problem in this tournament is that there are a lot of famous teams competing for just eight qualification spots. If things start to go poorly in the first series of matches for more than two of them, we will likely see a lot of sad upsets.

Hopefully, Astralis can qualify this time for the Major. Otherwise, Nicolai “dev1ce” Reedtz might start to question his decision to return to his former club. Fortunately for his team, he is currently playing really well. But there’s something missing in the roster’s playstyle.

The latest results obtained by Astralis give us hope. The team defeated Cloud9 in the European Qualifier for IEM Dallas and ended up winning the competition. If they can play the same way in the qualifier for the Paris Major, their spot at the event will be assured.
