After a month of nail-biting and exhilarating matches, VCT Pacific has concluded its league stage. A total of six teams has been confirmed today after the unfortunate elimination of Rex Regum Qeon. These six teams will participate in VCT Pacific Playoffs starting 19th of May. Meanwhile, the Japanese side, DetonatioN FocusMe, will be eager to put this series behind them, as they failed to secure a single victory in the league stage.

Here is the final day recap in VCT Pacific League.

Talon Esports vs DetonatioN FocusMe

Getting straight to the point, this was nothing but merely a dead rubber as both Talon and DFM’s fates were sealed before the match. Although, DFM could have avoided a complete league sweep by winning at least one match. Unfortunately, this didn’t happen as Talon crushed DFM 2-0.

The match was decided to be played on the following maps: Lotus, Map, and Fracture.

Lotus

The series began with Talon’s map choice. Despite winning the pistol round, they suffered a setback, losing five consecutive rounds before mounting a comeback with three wins. The first half ended with a tight score of 6-6. DFM started the second half strong but struggled to maintain momentum towards the end. Patiphan “Patt” Chaiwong’s outstanding performance on Breach, securing 24 kills at 276 ACS, helped Talon secure a 13-11 victory.

Bind

The map pick of Bind proved disastrous for DetonatioN, as Talon’s aggressive push and impeccable counter-trades led to their complete domination. The first half saw an uneven scoreline of 10-2, painting a bleak picture for DetonatioN. Despite a valiant effort, DFM only managed to secure two rounds in the second half before Talon swiftly sealed the map 13-4. Notably, Itthirit “foxz” Ngamsaard showcased remarkable prowess, amassing an impressive 22 kills and a staggering 336 ACS.

Paper Rex vs RRQ

In a crucial match for both RRQ and Gen.G, the second and final match of the league stage featured two Southeast Asian teams. The stakes were clear: a win for RRQ would secure them a playoff spot, while a loss would hand it to Gen.G. Unfortunately for Indonesian fans, RRQ suffered defeat at the hands of Paper Rex.

Bind

From the start, Paper Rex’s intensity dominated, leading 7-1 at one point in time. However, RRQ fought back valiantly, securing four additional rounds, and creating a respectable halftime score of 7-5 in favor of PRX. Ilya “something” Petrov’s remarkable performance on Reyna, executing incredible clutches, played a pivotal role. Ultimately, the first map concluded with a thrilling 13-9 victory for PRX.

Pearl

While not a decider map, it was still significant for RRQ. The Indonesian team struggled in the beginning, trailing 8-4 at halftime. Despite the immense pressure, they composed themselves and staged a courageous comeback. However, PRX’s strategic maneuvers and tactical decisions ultimately favored them, allowing them to secure the series and claim victory. Khalish “d4v41” Rusyaidee lead from the front with 29 Kills and 319 ACS.
