The CEO of Fortnite clarifies rumors that the Battle Royale game mode will end soon and confirms that this will not be the case.

The Fortnite title has been on the market for six years and is becoming increasingly popular. Every day Epic Games has millions of active users on the game’s platforms. However, many people rumor that the title will stop working soon. To clarify the doubt of many people, the CEO and Vice President of Epic Games gave an interview; they talked about a possible closure of the game. Although SypherPK is a Fortnite content creator, he was in charge of interviewing Epic’s executives.

A few days ago, the new Creative 2.0 Fortnite game mode was released, which made many users of the game’s community fear for the future of Fortnite. But, of course, we are talking about that since the release of Creative 2.0 is the game mode players demand.

However, although the game developers encourage all users to design unique maps, the most popular mode of the game, Battle Royale, will not cease to be present in Fortnite.

Battle Royale mode will not cease to be present in Fortnite

Fortnite and the game mode most loved by the gaming community since its launch in 2017, has undergone a lot of tweaks and changes. But all those changes are made to keep players entertained and hooked to the game. So, Epic Games plans to keep making changes to try to increase the popularity of the game more and more.

For this reason, the game developers have made it clear that they have no intentions of shutting down the Battle Royale game mode.

Content creator SypherPK, during his interview with Sax Persson and Tim Sweeney, took the opportunity to ask one of the community’s biggest doubts: is the possibility that Battle Royale will cease to exist?

Funnily, Persson answered that this question is like asking when Disneyland will close its doors.

Similarly, Sweeney joins the answer to that question and comments that video games over the years have been changing; in the same way, it happens in Epic Games with Fortnite, where they have added some features that are not battle royale.

Sweeney let it be known that the game will continue to evolve through constant change. This is not something new to the Fortnite community, as this is what they have seen over the six years of the game. So, new changes will surely come for the game, and the developers will continue creating new seasons.

Battle Royale Mode

Currently, Fortnite has a player base that exceeds 500 million. In addition, more than 70 million players enjoy the title monthly. On the other hand, 60% of Fortnite’s time played has been in Battle Royale mode; so it is illogical for Epic Games to close the most popular game mode.

Thanks to the numerous updates the game has received, it has gained more and more popularity. So it is expected that Epic Games will continue with this strategy.
