Stellar Blade Pre Order Bonus Not Working: How To Solve It

The long-awaited action RPG Stellar Blade has arrived–but not without some glitches for pre-ordered players. Confusion: Many are saying they haven’t been able to redeem or access their pre-order bonuses, leading to outrage across online communities.

The Advertised Bonuses

The pre-order bonuses for Stellar Blade include cosmetic items for the protagonist EVE: the Planet Diving Suit outfit, Classic Round Glasses, and Ear Armor Earrings. While purely cosmetic, these items were advertised as exclusive rewards for those who purchased the game ahead of launch.  

Where Are The Bonuses?

According to the developers, players should be able to claim their pre-order bonuses around 5-8 hours into the game after completing the section where they defeat the boss “Gigas” and arrive in the city of Xion. At this point, a box containing the bonus items is supposed to spawn on the platform in front of Adam’s ship.

However, many players are reporting that this box is not appearing as expected, leaving them unable to access their pre-order rewards.

Player Experiences

One player on the Stellar Blade subreddit shared their experience: “I have the Deluxe version pre-ordered, and I’ve reached Xion, but I don’t see the box on the bridge, and I don’t know what to do. The in-game content says these rewards should be usable for both the Deluxe and pre-order editions.”

Code Redemption Issues

Others have reported a different problem: not having the ability to work with their pre-order codes in any way. One angry user on the game’s official forums wrote: “Will not let me redeem code for pre-order bonus. I get an error message saying ‘The prepaid card could not be redeemed. Please try again later.'”

After contacting Sony’s customer support, this player was told that their pre-order code should be working fine, despite evidence to the contrary. The issue was escalated, but they were informed it could take 3-5 days for a resolution, leaving them without access to the promised bonuses for the time being.

Potential Workarounds

While some players have reported success in fixing the missing box issue by restoring licenses through the PlayStation 5 settings, this solution does not seem to be working for everyone.

But for many Stellar Blade fans, this pre-order bonus has certainly dampened the launch hype. As one of the year‘s biggest releases, expectations were high, and getting a copy of advertised content is understandably frustrating.
