Søren “Bjergsen” Bjerg’s retirement did not only affect his team, 100 Thieves, as the player was an active member of the LCS Players Association’s Executive Committee. Due to the player’s departure, a vacant position was left, which will now be filled by the current LCS champion with Cloud9, Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami.

After Bjergsen departs from the LCS scene, Fudge remains a mainstay of the LCS, and now the league is giving him great recognition by offering him a place in the LCS Players Association’s LCS. However, the player, just as the LCS legend did, continues as Top Laner with Cloud9.

Recall that this association is responsible for ensuring the “survival” of veteran players on the LCS scene.

LCS Players Association announces Fudge as part of the executive committee

In an official announcement last April 13, the LCS Players Association announced Ibrahim “Fudge” Allami, the current C9 Top Laner, as part of the executive committee.

With this, Fugde joins other personalities, some former and some active players from the LCS. Some are the association’s president, Darshan Upadhyaya, and the CEO, Greyson “Goldenglue” Gilmer. This association works hard to provide all the necessary support to all players in the North American League of Legends scene. In addition, it is focused on supporting the most veteran players.

In the official statement on Twitter, the LCS Players Association notes that Fudge is a perfect addition to the association, as he has a lot of experience in the scene that will help maintain and improve the quality of life for all players.

Will Fudge take Bjergsen’s place?

As we mentioned, Bjergsen’s retirement from the competitive LCS scene meant his retirement as a player, and he left his position at the LCS Players Association. However, it is still not completely clear what Fudge’s position within the association will be. Remember that the former 100 Thieves player was the association’s vice president.

For now, we can only wait for a new statement where the association specifically details Fudge’s position within the association. But what we do know is that he will be part of the executive committee.

A well-deserved award for Fudge

In addition to having a great experience and long history in the League, Fudge has just won the LCS Spring Split 2023 with Cloud9. In addition, the victory against Golden Guardians, a team that surprised everyone in the tournament by reaching the grand final, became the second consecutive title in the LCS.

Moreover, thanks to C9’s excellent second half of the season, almost all players were selected for the All-Pro first team. In addition, the team’s young star, Kim “Berserker” Min-Cheol, took home the tournament MVP award in his regular season.
