For Echo, winning World of Warcraft competitions has seemingly become a norm. Be it Mythic Dungeon International or the Race to World First, the organization has been at the forefront of WoW PvE gameplay since early 2021. Yesterday, the team claimed yet another MDI title.

While this MDI win marks the third consecutive WoW victory for Echo, it is the fifth consecutive MDI title for team’s core members, who won the first two trophies in this streak in 2019 and 2020 under the banners of Method EU and Wunderbar. However, the most recent three trophies from 2021 and 2022 belong exclusively to Echo.

Echo claim Mythic Dungeon International

Although Echo lost to Monka in the semifinals, they were able to rack up wins on Necrotic Wake, Tazavesh: Streets of Wonder, and Plaguefall during the final round of yesterday’s MDI Finals. Echo completed the last amp at Keystone Level 25 in under 14 minutes and sealed the score 3-0 to win the tournament.

Overall, Echo ended the final series with just two deaths across all three maps, both of which happened on the Tazavesh map, however, it was not enough to endanger them on their way towards victory.

Echo dominate the WoW scene

Besides winning evens, Echo also pull off runs of unparalleled dominance rarely seen in WoW’s history. Since the launch of the Shadowlands expansion, both Echo Raid team and Echo Mythic+ team have enjoyed a winning streak in some of WoW’s most significant events, with back-to-back victories in the Race to World First and their dominance in the MDI.

Echo will undoubtedly try to keep the WoW PvE scene firmly in place in the next expansion Dragonflight, which has been confirmed to go live before the end of 2022.

What are the Mythic Dungeons in WoW?

The mythical dungeons are basically heroic dungeons with a bit more difficulty. They don’t have a time limit or anything like that, and just like in the mythical dungeons in Draenor, players have a direct chance of looting with every boss. The only difference between heroic and normal dungeons is the fact that you have to travel there yourself and cannot join a group using the dungeon finder.

Also, they have a weekly ID. So unlike heroic dungeons, you can’t spam them all the time. Successfully completing the first Mythic instance of the week will also award you with a keystone for that dungeon. You need it for the new variant Mythic Plus.
