Rainbow Six Siege developers Ubisoft and one of the world’s leading event organizers, BLAST Premier, have revealed all the information regarding the BLAST R6 2023 circuit.

According to the official announcement, BLAST R6 will be played in nine regions:

  • Europe
  • North America
  • Brazil
  • Japan
  • Korea, Republic of
  • Latin America
  • Asia
  • Oceania
  • Middle East
  • North Africa

BLAST R6 Launch

The official launch of Rainbow Six Siege’s new BLAST R6 global circuit will kick off the week of March 6. With this new season’s start comes a new name for the circuit, a new look, and three spectacular locations for the 2023 Majors and the 2024 Six Invitational.

This unveiling of a new season comes thanks to the partnership signed between BLAST and Ubisoft last December. Recall that this is part of Ubisoft’s plans to renew the competitive scene of Rainbow Six Siege and thus try to attract new players and expand the current scene.

Destinations of the Majors and the Six Invitational 2024

As mentioned, we will have three exciting destinations for international competitions at the highest competitive level of Rainbow Six Siege in this BLAST R6 2023.

BLAST R6 structure

Starting this 2023 season, the new circuit called BLAST R6 will adopt a new event structure divided into three stages. The first will feature the best 16 teams from the nine regions mentioned above.

According to the official BLAST R6 blog, the first phase will feature the following:

  • Two teams from Europe
  • Two teams from North America
  • Two teams from Brazil
  • Two teams from Japan
  • Two teams from South Korea
  • Two teams from Hispanic Latin America
  • Two teams from Asia
  • 1 team from Oceania
  • 1 team from MENA

At the end of the first stage of this International Championship, the top eight teams will advance directly to the second phase. At this point, these teams join eight more that will have qualified through closed qualifiers in their respective leagues.

  • The 8 teams coming out of the first phase of the Major
  • The top 2 teams from the closed EU League
  • The top 2 teams from the closed NA League
  • The top 2 teams from the closed Brazil League
  • The top team from the closed Japan League
  • The top team from the closed South Korea League

After this second phase is played, the top eight teams will advance to the playoffs to fight to be crowned champions in the BAST R6 at the respective stage and take home a share of the $750,000 prize pool.

Teams’ Road to the Six Invitational 2024

As mentioned above, the BLAST R6 comprises nine regions, so the overall scoring system of the Six Invitational will be completely adjusted and modified. Finally, at the end of the season, the top 20 teams in the standings will get their ticket to the Six Invitational 2024.

In the following, we will briefly explain how the points for the Six Invitational will be distributed.

Regional leagues

In each phase played, teams will receive a certain amount of points according to their performance in the qualifiers for the Major.

Finally, the top eight teams in each region will earn points for the Six Invitational 2024.

Majors

In international tournaments or Majors, teams will score points based on their performance in these tournaments.

The 24 teams participating in each of the two BLAST R6 Majors in the 2023 season will score points according to their final ranking in the event.

Finally, all the points obtained by the teams in the Majors will be added to the regional points to make a general table from which the 20 teams qualified for the Six Invitational 2024 will be selected.
