The controversy surrounding TSM’s financial situation continues, and many members of the community, especially team fans, are asking the organization for transparency when signing players for the LCS.

It is no secret that TSM’s situation is still complicated; many reports claimed the organization planned to pause some esports divisions. However, after this, the organization ratified its desire to continue with plans to return to the competitive CS:GO scene. This news greatly reassured fans of the League of Legends team.

Fans call for transparency from TSM

A Reddit user posted a post on TSM’s wall asking the organization for transparency regarding what is happening with their League of Legends lineup.

In this message, the user details that CEO Andy “Reginald” Dinh and Director of Esports, Jeff Chau, have not been telling the truth regarding the current LoL lineup situation. Furthermore, the message continues with something undoubtedly completely true, as the user mentions that the organization should come out and say that they don’t have the money to have a competitive lineup.

Reginald made an official statement on the TSM subreddit, explaining that the organization intended to double the “investment” in the LoL lineup heading into the 2023 LCS season. However, shortly after that, he revealed that all plans had fallen and promised to bring news soon.

Then, at the end of March, Sports Business Journal published a new report detailing TSM’s plans to put some of its teams on hiatus due to financial difficulties. In addition, this report also detailed that TSM would be considering selling the place in LoL’s top competitive level in NA, the LCS.

Fans of the team join the post on Reddit

There is no doubt that the post was going to gain popularity in the LoL community and especially among TSM fans. Moreover, many more people started interacting and writing their thoughts in the replies to this post. However, to the surprise of many, several people are not directly attacking the organization.

The LCS has recently declined in viewership and popularity, mainly in this 2023 season. In addition, news recently broke that one of the league’s founding organizations, CLG, was acquired by NRG Esports to play in the LCS.

TSM did not have a good Spring Split 2023, and there is no doubt. However, it is worth noting that their lineup did not feature star players by a long shot. As a result, they finished in seventh place for the season. Finally, if the organization doesn’t change for the Summer Split or some signing rumors are confirmed, the situation may not change.
