T1 won the most blowout three-game series against Liiv SANDBOX in LCK Spring Split 2022. The undefeated team is on a 17-0 winning streak and will compete against DRX for the “Perfect 18-0 Split.”

The game started with T1 dominating over team Livv Sandbox. The confidence of T1 can be seen clearly as the “Undefeated” team kept crushing SANDBOX players until the last moments of the game. Dove came to save Sandbox, and with his Gragas Casket, he fought T1 single-handedly. Dove’s momentum helped SANDBOX to stage an incredible comeback. Not only did the team win the round, but they also made it clear to team T1 that they were not going down without a fight.

T1 thought the same way and the team reclaimed control with a win in the second round. Keira kept a tight grip on SANDBOX’s player with his flawless Nautilus play. The opponent continued to try to outclass Keira’s incredible performance, but it was too late, as his roaming talents and team fight skills assisted other T1 laners in finishing the game in under 21 minutes.

In the third and last game, the team continued their domination and kept control throughout the game. Oner with his Viego showcased an impeccable play and helped the team to build a late-stage play. The rest of the team carried the momentum built by Oner and won the series 2-1, marking them the first team in history to have a 17-match winning run.

Perhaps, Covid -19 was the 6th player of T1

COVID outbreaks have prompted several LCK teams to field substitutes in the main lineups. Most significantly, Gen.G, the LCK’s top-tier squad, couldn’t field their complete starting lineup against T1 in either of their games.

As a result, Gen.G lost both of its matchups, but the outcomes could have been different if Gen.G had been at full power. Well, that is highly debatable but one thing is certain T1 is looking more and more likely to secure an unblemished LCK split and register itself as the first team to achieve a perfect split.

DRX vs T1:  The last battle for glory

The match between DRX and T1 will be played on March 20, and it will be the regular season’s final match of the group stage.T1’s goal is simple and clear: they’ll strive to become the first LCK team to go 18-0 in a split.

DRX, on the other hand, will fight for third place in the standings. The only way DRX can usurp DWG KIA in the standings is to do what no other team has done and defeat T1. DWG KIA’s win over DRX in their most recent encounter, increased their chances of finishing third at the end of the 2022 LCK Spring Split regular season.

DWG and DRX are currently tied for third place with an 11-6 record, while their individual game records are DWG 27-13 and DRX 22-17, respectively, putting DWG KIA in third place in this tiebreaker scenario.

DRX would have to overcome T1 and hope that DWG KIA loses to Fredit BRION, who have recently been infected by COVID – 19 and also failed to field a roster in their last match against Gen G. DRX will play their final match of the 2022 LCK Spring Split on March 20, with the intent to end with a 12-6 regular-season record.
