VALORANT is an esport full of talented players, but there are three players who improved their game last year to become the best on the scene and show some of the most outstanding performances. In this article, we have selected for you the top three VALORANT players who have developed best in 2022.
2022 has come to an end and we take a look at the VALORANT players who have improved the most throughout the year, showing more consistency than ever before, and helping their teams towards victories.
Marved
When it comes to stat improvements and not just rising up on the scene, Jimmy “Marved” Nguyen has to be mentioned. He’s already been one of the most consistent players of 2021, first with FaZe Clan and then with Team Envy. But as Envy rebranded to OpTic Gaming and entered 2022, Marved turned it up a few notches.
Looking at the stats for the 2022 Champions, Marved has improved quite a bit in pretty much every category. His K/D improved from 1.06 to 1.11, while his ACS went from 201 to 216. No wonder OpTic finished in the top three in every international tournament last year, including the first-place finish at Masters Reykjavík.

However, at the end of 2022, Marved first decided to take a break from competitive VALORANT and then leave OpTic and enter free agency, so we will have to wait to see what’s next for the Canadian talent.
Enzo
Enzo “Enzo” Mestari, formerly known as Fearoth, made it into the big leagues last year. Before joining Fnatic in the first half of 2022, he played with Alliance and Ninjas in Pyjamas.
During his time at Alliance, he clearly impressed Fnatic, as they added him to their lineup on loan and it didn’t take long before they signed him permanently. As a part of Fnatic, he helped the team to an undefeated EMEA Stage 2 Challengers run and a respectable 4th place finish at the Masters Copenhagen.
Fnatic has decided to let me explore my options in 2023. I am open to offers and looking to represent a VCT partnered organisation.
My ambition is to lift trophies and I will work relentlessly for it 🏆Feel free to contact @Jerome_Coupez #alwaysfnatic pic.twitter.com/pSgnNJsD7D

Saadhak
The third player who improved the most in 2022 is Matias “Saadhak” Delipetro. Among other accomplishments, he became the VALORANT 2022 Champion with his current team LOUD.
The Argentinian spent 2021 playing with Team Vikings before joining Team LOUD in early 2022. The team saw success in Brazil and it looked very promising for them at Masters Reykjavík as well, however, they were swept by OpTic in Grand Finals.
Despite disappointing 11th-12th placement at Masters in Copenhagen, the Brazilians returned with a vengeance at VCT 2022 Champions. A map is everything they turned in in the playoffs on their way to victory. Saadhak and his squad clinched the trophy and they will undoubtedly look to defend that glory when the VCT kicks off in Brazil in 2023.
Feliz ano novo meus lindões e que o próximo seja cheio de vitórias! ❤️💚 pic.twitter.com/gmtU5yAxa1
