Riot Games has revealed the revamped look of the Valorant map Split, which is making its return to the map pool with the upcoming Patch 6.0.

The popular Valorant map Split left the map pool more than six months ago. It was replaced by Pearl, a map that, thanks to its original layout and captivating graphics, has managed to win immense love and appreciation from the Valorant community. While Pearl was generally well-liked by the neighborhood, Split’s surprise departure also caused some distress among Valorant fans.

To the relief of fans who have been eagerly awaiting its return, Split will be making a return to the shooter’s competitive map pool with the upcoming patch 6.0. The arrival of Split, however, brings with it a number of tweaks that are expected to impact players’ approach, gameplay, and strategies to conquer the map.

The developers have implemented numerous changes that players can experience at the A Main, A Tower, B Main, B Tower, and other sites once the upcoming update goes live. Overall, many of the modifications should make it easier for attacking players to gain access to the site as that was the biggest problem with the map in its prior form for many fans.

Additionally, Breeze and Bind will leave the map pool in Competitive and Unrated to make room for Split since the new pool will be reduced to six maps. The maps, however, will continue to be accessible in other game modes like custom games and Spike Rush.

Here are all the changes coming to Split

A site:

A Main now has an elevated ramp with more space, which gives potential attackers more room overall. Instead of moving forward, the stairs behind A Tower now turn left to move into Defender’s Spawn. The size of A Rafter has been reduced, making it harder for players to take cover or hold the corner angle. Attacking the A site, on the other hand, should now be easier due to the restricted space. The size of the A Main Box has also been reduced, making it tough to peek at the A Screens from this angle.

B Site:

Players can now take cover readily without being entirely exposed because the trash can and the bags behind the B Tower box have been removed. The short elevated barrier next to the stairs at the mid-bottom of the B site has been removed, which has resulted in a little increase in the space between the stairs and the box. The additional space should open up some new angles and lines of sight. The barrels have also been covered with a sheet, which is not a significant change but is worth noting.
