BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 is a $1 million Dota 2 tournament scheduled to take place between February 4 – 16 in Dubai. The event will bring together 12 amazing teams, seven of which were directly invited. The other five have either qualified or are in the process of qualifying.

With the cancelation of Dota Pro Circuit by Valve, ESL has decided to assume most of Valve’s responsibilities related to Dota 2’s esports scene. Hopefully, there will be at least a few more tournament organizers that will join them. Right now, FISSURE seems to be doing a great job, thanks in part to BetBoom’s initiative.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai 2024 will be a great tournament to watch, the first of the new season, and there is so much novelty, both inside the game and the teams themselves, that the results are completely unpredictable.

BetBoom Dacha Dubai Participants

BetBoom Dacha Dubai will feature these nine teams:

  • Team Liquid
  • Team Spirit
  • Aurora
  • Gaimin Gladiators
  • BetBoom Team
  • LGD Gaming
  • Xtreme Gaming
  • pro
  • Azure Ray

Three more will join them, coming from the WEU, MENA, and NA+SA qualifiers. Most likely, these three teams will be OG (or Team Secret), Team Falcons (or Nigma Galaxy), and nouns (or Shopify Rebellion).

The element of excitement comes from the fact that the tournament will be played on a new patch, probably 7.35c or even 7.35d at that point. Another thing that adds to the excitement is the huge number of roster changes that have occurred since the end of The International 12.

Team Liquid parted ways with Ludwig “zai” Wahlberg and signed Neta “33” Shapira.

Aurora signed the former Talon Esports roster, which included some of the best players in Southeast Asia: Anucha “Jabz” Jirawong, Nuengnara “23” Teeramahanon, and others.

Xtreme Gaming signed four new players, including Wang “Ame” Chunyu, who is widely regarded as one of the best position 1 competitor in China.

Azure Ray lost Lu “Somnus” Yao but managed to resign Xu “fy” Linsen despite his initial decision to leave the team.

BetBoom lost Ivan “Pure” Mostalenko, who is regarded as one of the top 3 carry players in Eastern Europe. This will likely cause a lot of problems in the short run and nobody knows who will replace him.

Other teams, such as Team Spirit and Gaimin Gladiators, have not made any roster changes and will compete at full strength. So it’s safe to say that they will probably perform better than most of their opponents.

In the case of Spirit, one thing to keep in mind is that they won the most important Dota 2 tournaments of 2023, including Riyadh Masters and The International. Gladiators finished TI12 in 2nd place, so they’re a very powerful competitor as well.
