After teasing the team for a while, Global Esports, the Indian esports organization and one of the 30 partnered Valorant teams, has officially revealed its female Valorant lineup.

With the intention of participating in VCT Game Changers, Global Esports has officially acquired the entire Grace Esports Valorant roster. All six of the candidates that will make up the female Valorant squad were shortlisted by the organization after several tryouts that were held in October 2022.

With several of its members having previously played together under the VLT Asteri banner, Global Esports Phoenix has a strong pre-built synergy. After winning the recently concluded Skyesports Grand Slam Season 3, India’s first female-only Valorant LAN tournament, the all-Indian squad cemented its position as a dominant force in the local scene.

The team performed exceptionally well during the two-day competition, winning every match during the group stage before continuing to build on their success in the championship match, where they claimed the highly prized trophy over Palak Paneer. The team appears ready for the upcoming challenges with a six-player Indian roster and two coaches to support them.

The Australian Valorant veteran Kraif, who was most recently spotted participating in North America’s collegiate and Game Changers academy scenes, will take the role of head coach. The team will be coached and mentored by the Australian head coach with the assistance of KappA, who will assume the assistant coach’s responsibilities. As seasoned Valorant players, Kraif and KappA will bring their wealth of experience to the table.

Global Esports Pheonix is off to a flying start

Global Esports Pheonix is currently participating in the VCT 2023: Game Changers Asia Pacific, which also includes some of the finest female Valorant teams in South Asia, Oceania, and Southeast Asia. The first open qualifying round for the competition has already started and it will run through March 19, featuring a $10,000 USD prize pool.

The Indian team thrashed Empyrean Horizon in its first game of the event to mark its official debut under the new Global Esports banner. After winning Ascent 13-10, the team went on to win Pearl 13-7 to clinch the best-of-three series. The team is off to a strong start at the qualifiers, where they will face many hurdles as they advance to their next opponents.

The top eight teams from the qualifiers will advance to the playoffs, which will feature top-tier professional and aspiring female Valorant players from the region in a double-elimination bracket format.
