Fragster announces Teams of CCT West Europe Series #2 Play-ins

After a successful and exciting CCT WE EU Series 1, we are delighted to reveal the teams that will participate in the Play-In phase of the Champion of Champions Tour West Europe Series 2.

The Play-In phase of the CCT WE EU Series 2 will take place from March 3 to 7 and will feature 16 CS:GO teams from the European region in a battle for an advance to the Group Stage phase of the $50,000 event.

We can’t wait for this new edition of the CCT WEU circuit to begin, so let’s reveal the participating teams!

Participating teams & format

For this CCT WE EU Series 2 Play-In, we will see 16 rosters divided into four groups of four teams each, who will face off in a GSL format followed by a single-elimination bracket. All matches will be best-of-three series.

Out of these 16 teams, the eight best (two from each group) will advance to Play-In deciders to be played on March 7, where the top four teams will claim their spots in the Group Stage phase of Series #2. Here, they will be joined by 12 invited teams that we be announced in due course.

Participating teams also earn points toward the world rankings in order to get a chance to qualify for the LAN studio final to be held in the coming months.

Schedule

Groups A and B will play their matches on the first two days of the Play-In phase, i.e., next Friday, March 3, and Saturday, March 4. At the same time, Groups C and D will do the same on Sunday, March 5, and Monday, March 6. The matches on Friday and Sunday will be played from 13:00 CET and will end with the last match at 20:00 CET. Saturday and Monday start at 11:00 CET and also end at 20:00 CET.

Great expectations

With the CCT WE EU Series 2, there are several weeks full of exciting Counter-Strike action ahead of us, so be sure not to miss it! Although the Play-Ins end on March 7, the Group Stage starts on March 9, while the Playoffs will be played between March 20 – 23. More than 20 days of action, excitement, and adrenaline await us starting this weekend.
