We have reports of the full rosters the five South American teams will field next year in the Americas VCT, GenG completes their lineup and a storm is brewing in the APAC region.
With notable names missing from the franchised rosters in the Americas league, the tier-two scene won’t lack storylines. In the EMEA, NaVi have finally settled on a buyout agreement with FPX to acquire their 2022 roster. On the other side of the globe, GenG finalize their roster as RRQ is facing backlash from both Riot and the community.
Brazil and LATAM rosters taking shape
As agents and organizations keep releasing information to further their agenda, we finally have some credible sources reporting on the roster shifts in South America. Several reports state that these will be the roster the five teams from South America will field in the 2023 VCT season:
Duelist | Flex | Initiator | Controller | Sentinel | Coaches | |
FURIA | Dgzin | Mazin | Mwzera | Khalil | Qck | Carlao |
LOUD | Aspas | saadhak | Caunazin | Tuyz? | Less | / |
MIBR | Jzz | Kon4n? | deNaro | rgLm | Frz | / |
KRU | Xand | NagZ | Klaus | Melser | DaveeyS | Leazo |
LEVIATAN | Tacolila | KiNgg | Shyy | Mazino | Nozwer | Onur & Betony |
A lot of notable names are missing from this table, especially when you consider how many high profiled names from the Northern continent didn’t land on a franchised roster. Keznit and Heat are the hottest free agents in South American Valorant, with reports coming out that MIBR are still very much trying to acquire Heat.
Considering that FURIA reportedly paid 250 thousand dollars to buy out Mwzera, MIBR might be facing an even steeper slope. Up north, Trent, Marved, and BCJ not being on a franchised roster is still mind-boggling to many fans who are hopeful to see them on strong teams in the Ascension leagues.
Fnatic, KOI and NaVi finalizing deals
The pot seems to get stirred a lot more in Europe, as NaVi finally completes the buyout for the FPX roster. Reports are coming out that the Ukrainian organization will pay around 500 thousand dollars for the four players and head coach Erik ‘d00mbr0s’ Sandgren. In addition to this deal, current Giants Head Coach Oliwer “LATEKS” Fahlander is reportedly joining the team as an assistant coach.
Fnatic might be on the verge of creating a super team in Europe, with reports coming out that Leo and Chronicle are joining the organization. With uncertainty surrounding the Visa applications for Russian players, Fnatic have also offered Mystic the substitute role. With a lineup of Boaster, Derke, Alfajer, Leo, and Chronicle, on paper Fnatic might be the best team in Valorant.
Another former Guild player, Trexx, is reportedly also on the move. Reuniting with his former teammate Koldamenta and head coach Barbarr under the KOI banner. He will be joining Starxo, Koldamenta, Sheydos and Wolfen on the roster.

GenG finalize roster, but trouble is brewing in the APAC
GenG might have found their starting five, but Riot is not pleased with how some APAC teams have constructed their rosters post franchising. Reports are coming out that Riot has sent more than one warning to organizations like RRQ, LOUD, FUT, and MIBR for shady contract negotiations.
RRQ, a huge Indonesian organization was selected for franchising by Riot, despite their current roster composed of Philipino players not making the APAC LCQ. Other Indonesian teams like Boom Esports and ONIC, who finished top two in the APAC LCQ, failed to get franchised. Meaning that there is enough Indonesian talent available for RRQ to sign a super team. Instead, RRQ goes forward with the same roster losing in the latest tournament to a tier-two organization.
Here’s the final announcement of our VPL 2023 Roster.
Let’s all welcome our 6 players! @RRQ_Nexi , @rrq_kellyS , @rrq2ge , @rrq_emmanfps , @erolldelfin , and @davidmichs ! 🔥🔥VIVA RRQ! #teamrrq #VCT2023 #valorant #Riotgames #anouncement pic.twitter.com/HzqFiZyqLZ

Around the same time, reports surfaced that the organization is pressuring players to sign obstructive contracts and only offering a minimum payment. Since then, RRQ have announced its complete roster, containing five unknown Philipino players and Tebotol as the only Indonesian player. With moves like this, its no wonder Riot are looking into the situation and considering demoting them outside of the franchised spot.
