ESL Pro League S19 Group B Results

Group B of ESL Pro League featured teams like Team Vitality and G2 Esports, who are among the favorites to win the tournament. Vitality didn’t have any problems and won three consecutive matches without losing a single map. G2, on the other hand, struggled.

This struggle made life hard for other teams as well, such as Team Falcons, who ended up being eliminated by them in the lower bracket. Our worst fears about Falcons came true. What happened in the qualifiers for the Esports World Cup was not an accident. Right now, they are not strong enough to beat the world’s best teams and will even lose to much weaker opponents.

The four winners of this group were Team Vitality, The MongolZ, BetBoom Team, and G2 Esports.

For Vitality, this group was quite easy. They did struggle against every opponent on one of the two maps they had to play, but eventually they won the match each time 2 – 0. ZywOo and Spinx were phenomenal in all three matches, having a huge impact on their team’s success and being the best players on the server.

Thanks to this victory, Vitality will start the playoffs in the quarterfinals and will have the chance to win the trophy with just three more victories.

The MongolZ

The MongolZ made a great impression and proved that their results in the first three months of 2024 were not an accident. This team really is one of the world’s best at the moment, despite coming from a region in which CS2 is not exactly the main esport.

Before losing against Vitality in the upper bracket Final, The MongolZ defeated Team Falcons and G2 Esports. The first match was tough and required three maps to conclude. But the second one was remarkably easy. The scores were 13-4 and 13-7.

At the moment, this team is getting carried a lot by 910. The 21-year-old is a star in the making.

BetBoom Team

BetBoom defeated M80 and then lost against Vitality. In the mid bracket, they defeated both Falcons and M80 for the second time, qualifying for the playoffs from 3^rd place.

G2 had a hard life in the group stage and did not look good at all. They managed to beat TYLOO but then lost to MongolZ and M80. These defeats sent them to the lower bracket, where they defeated Falcons and M80.
