Garena’s Call of Duty Mobile scene is once again dominated by Kings, as Elevate took home the Garena Masters VI: Battles for Valor championship.
This may be the first championship under the Elevate banner for Karlo “kLo” Morales, Vince “Luffy” Laganse, Patrick “Peejay” Sagudo, John “Yop1” Manalang, Justin “Susanoo” Cecilio, head coach Mark “Olea” Olea, and new addition John Kenneth “KenDy” Pimentel, but each of them have won titles under a different banner.
Luffy, kLo, Peejay, Yop1, Olea, and Susanoo have won the previous Garena Masters V under the banner of the West Point Mamba (WPM) Lowkings, while this is KenDy’s third Garena Masters title, the previous two being with their GM6 Grand Finals opponent, Smart Omega Esports.
Elevate and Omega proved that the all-Filipino El Classico was a banger, starting off with a Round 1 Hardpoint Hacienda classic which became a close fight, 250-223.
Omega, however, regained composure in the newest mode for Garena Masters, Search and Rescue, 10-9.
However, Game 3 turned the tide for the Red Rebels as they were able to close out a nail-biter Control match at Raid, 3-2.
The momentum totally shifted towards Elevate’s favor as they managed to dominate Summit Hardpoint by Game 4, 250-106.
And true to form, with the new Search and Rescue mode proving to also win championships, Elevate was able to win against Omega, 10-5 to win the title.
This is the first championship in the competitive CODM multiplayer season for the Garena region, and they win the lion’s share of the US$25,000 prize pool.
