This offseason for the teams in the League of Legends competitive scene that didn’t qualify for MSI 2023 is getting extremely busy. Many rumors surfaced at every turn, and, most impressively, many points in one direction: Team Heretics.

The Spanish organization aims to make a total change in its team to improve its situation for the remainder of the 2023 season in the LEC. As a result, in the last few hours, it has become known that Vincent “Vetheo” Berrié has reached a “verbal” agreement with Team Heretics for the Summer Split.

There is no doubt that if this is confirmed and Vetheo joins Team Heretics as a mid-laner, it will be big news and a really important signing for this team that needs a 180° turn if they want to qualify for Worlds 2023.

Reports claim that Vetheo would play for Team Heretics in LEC Summer Split

According to a report by esports journalist Alejandro Gomis, Vetheo has a verbal agreement with Team Heretics to play the LEC Summer Split with the Spanish organization. If everything is confirmed, this French player, who is 20 years old and is the replacement in the Excel Esports lineup, would be a great signing for Team Heretics.

On April 10, 2023, Korean Lee “Ruby” Sol-min was sent to the inactive Team Heretics lineup list and allowed to explore his options. Then, weeks later, different reports claimed that the Korean player would have an agreement to join TSM in the LCS. As a result, Team Heretics has a vacancy in the mid-laner position that they have not yet managed to fill.

If the news is confirmed, it will end the Frenchman, Vetheo’s internship at Excel Esports, that only lasted five months.

About Vetheo

The 20-year-old Frenchman joined Excel Esports after he left Misfits Gaming, a team he was a member of for two years. The British organization was tasked with forming a powerful and competitive lineup for the 2023 season, and on paper, they were, without a doubt. However, results did not go the team’s way in either Split played so far, as they have finished in last place in both.

Vetheo, in addition to being unable to get the desired level of play to help his team improve their situation, was replaced due to “mental health issues” in the final rounds of the Spring Split. As a result, Felix “Abbedagge” Braun played the remaining Excel games as a starter.

There is no doubt that, before the start of the 2023 season, Vetheo was considered one of the promising young players within the LEC, and his addition to the EXCEL roster was to stand up to the powers in the region. Therefore, if the signing is confirmed, the French mid-laner will have a second chance to prove himself under the Team Heretics banner at the LCS Summer Split 2023.
