VCT team bundles will be released in February 2024 ahead of the kickoff tournaments, according to Global Head of VALORANT Esports Leo Faria.

The VCT team bundles will go on sale during the kick-off tournament in all four international leagues and will be available throughout the season. The short kick-off tournaments for all four international VCT leagues will be held in February. Additionally, every team in the foreign leagues—including the Ascension teams—will get a package containing gun skin and other different kinds of cosmetics.  This implies that the newly announced teams for VCT China will also have their bundles available for pickup. That is more than forty distinct VCT team packages each with interesting effects like kill banners and finishers.

Each league’s start date is as follows:

  • VCT Americas: February 16, 2024
  • VCT Pacific: February 17, 2024
  • VCT EMEA: February 20, 2024
  • VCT China: February 22, 2024

Patterned Valorant teams to receive their impending skin revenue soon

Riot Games has taken a revolutionary approach to in-game cosmetics with these VCT team capsules. In the past, Riot’s esports games only granted personalized skins to the League of Legends World Championship winners. Now that this special tradition is being expanded Valorant fans will have a new and dynamic way to interact with their favorite teams.

The VCT team capsules will include a range of cosmetic pieces, including a Playercard, a Classic Skin, and other team-specific components, according to Riot Games. These capsules are designed to highlight teams from different regions, including Asia-Pacific, EMEA (Europe, the Middle East, and Africa), and VCT Americas.

The arrival of these team capsules is revolutionary for the esports organizations that are partnered with Riot for international VCT leagues. With a cut of the sales of these in-game items, it provides a fresh way to make revenue. The combination of fan interaction and competitive spirit has the potential to improve the Valorant esports ecosystem as a whole.

Riot hopes to generate the same amount of cash with the VCT team skins as it has with VCT-themed bundles during the last two years. Riot reports that participating teams have received over $33 million in digital item revenue, with about $12 million of that amount going directly to players and coaches.

Furthermore, of the $4.5 million in total prize money that Riot distributed, more than $3 million went to coaches and players. According to Faria, organizations can keep investing in Valorant because of these skins’ revenue, base stipend, and other incentives offered by Riot as a part of the partnership program.
