TwitchCon 2022 takes place this weekend in Amsterdam

The main event of the streaming world TwitchCon makes its comeback to LAN format. As usual, the annual event for the broadcast community will feature some of the platform’s famous content makers, meetups and gaming competitions. Fans can enjoy the action this weekend, July 16-17 in Amsterdam.

TwitchCon is one of the most-awaited events of the year in the streaming community as it unites content creators, fans and gaming lovers in one place. The event was held each year before the pandemic, however, in 2020 the organizers decided to move the convention online and called it GlitchCon 2020.

In 2021, Twitch cancelled the event completely and started to raise expectations for 2022 as there were plans for something big and exciting. As a result, the company announced two events for this year! The first one will be TwitchCon Amsterdam, which is scheduled for July 16-17, while the second one will be held in San Diego from October 7-9. 

The upcoming convention will take place on July 16-17 at RAI Amsterdam Convention Centre. The tickets were available for one or two days for €65 or €108, but at the time of writing, they have been sold out. Each customer gets access to various meetups and activities as well as a unique Chat Badge for their Twitch account along with exclusive goodies. 

TwitchCon 2022 activities 

The event will feature various activities so that everyone can find something for themselves and interact with the community. Here’s the list of all events and activities with descriptions to not miss anything.

Artist Valley — a marketplace where fans can buy artworks of their favourite creators.

Community Meetups — an activity where fans can connect with new streamers or link up with old friends or find new ones. 

Creator Camp — a venue for those who want to level up their skills. The experts will share their insights about community management, coding and engagement. Moreover, top creators and management will give advices on personal brand development. 

Expo Floor — the place where visitors can learn about upcoming games and connect with devs and streamers.

Glitch Theatre — a dedicated area for ceremonies and contests.

The Loot Cave — a shop with unique Twitch merchandise. 

Meet & Greets — during this activity fans can chat, take pics and get a sign from favorite streamers.

Tabletop — a place to relax and play different board games.

Twitch Rivals — a special tournament by Twitch that will unite famous European content creators to compete in different games. Twitch Rivals Ultimate Challenge III is scheduled also. 

Interactive Sessions — a classroom setting where creators will teach visitors. 

Drag Showcase — the all-new activity at TwitchCon which will feature the contest of Drag Queens. 

Musical Performances — LIVE concerts of various creators. 

Community Panels — various discussions featuring top content makers of the platform. 

Among the well-known streamers that confirmed their presence on the event are Pokimane, Nihachu, Elesky, Tommyinnit, HollieB, and Suedzz.
