TECNO teams up with JetSynthesys Skyesports to host year-long Call of Duty Mobile POVA Cup in India

The Call of Duty: Mobile India POVA Cup is a new, exciting year-long mobile gaming competition organized by smartphone brand TECNO Mobile in collaboration with South Asia’s esports event organizer JetSynthesys Skyesports. 

Both organizations will collaborate on organizing Call of Duty: Mobile esports events in India throughout 2023.

Call of Duty: Mobile POVA Cup

In the first season of the tournament, some of the best teams from across the country will face off in intense CoD duels.

According to the press release, TECNO will take advantage of Skyesports’ widespread and of the events within the cup. The brand’s goal is to create connections with young enthusiasts who play mobile games.

To achieve a broader reach to all corners of the country, the matches will be streamed live on Skyesports’ official channels. The broadcast will be in four different languages: English, Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu.

 

TECNO Mobile CEO Arijeet Talapatra commented on the recent partnership:

“In the current fiscal, India witnessed more than 50 crore citizens taking up gaming, which also means a 12% increase from last year. As a result, India’s gaming sector registered a whopping $2.6 billion growth and is expected to grow by 27% to reach the mark of $8.6 billion”.

Noticing the massive growth in the mobile gaming market, TECNO recently strengthened its POVA range of smartphones. Offering devices with more power, speed, and performance, the brand encourages users to “Stop At Nothing” and keep working hard.

The partnership with Skyesports seeks to grow the community of esports lovers and provide a “fantastic” experience for POVA device gamers.

 

What to expect from the Call of Duty: Mobile POVA Cup

The cup is set to be one of the most significant mobile shooter esports events held to date in India. It will have an annual format, consisting of several seasons, offering amateurs and professionals ground to hone their skills in competition.

The seasons will culminate in a big Grand Final, which will take place in late 2023.

JetSynthesys founder and CEO Shiva Nandy, added:
