Team Spirit revamp CS:GO lineup

Team Spirit has been one of the organizations on the radar in the CS:GO scene for the past few years, thanks to their excellent performances in Tier 2 tournaments on the European continent. However, their highest peak came in the 2022 season, when they had a spectacular performance at the PGL Major Antwerp, which put them in the spotlight of the CS:GO community.

Similarly, the first six months of the 2023 season have been disappointing for the team, and now, they have decided to make a total revamp in their lineup. In addition to preparing to turn around their level of play in the second half of the year, the important thing is the imminent transition that all teams must make to CS2. Let’s remember that, for this new game, we will be able to have different teams doing battle from the beginning of the new era.

Team Spirit announce new CS:GO lineup

In the last few hours, Team Spirit announced its new main CS:GO lineup for the second half of the season and, above all, for the transition to CS2. Team Spirit decides to promote from its academy team Artem “ArtFr0st” Kharitonov, Danil “donk” Kryshkovets, and Myroslav “zont1x” Plakhotia. In addition, let’s remind that Robert “Patsi” Isyanov decided to leave for Team Liquid, while Igor “w0nderful” Zhdanov and Pavel “s1ren” Ogloblin are inactive in the organization.

There is no doubt that these three players from the Team Spirit academy have more than proven their level of play on the CS:GO scene. Let’s remember that they managed to take first place in the CCT West Europe Series #1, and, in addition, they were runners-up a couple of times in the WePlay Academy. On the other hand, it is worth noting that Spirit Academy, with these three players as main references, managed to take victories against great teams such as Team GamerLegion, BIG, Into the Breach, and Team Falcons.

Donk: a growing talent

There is no doubt that, of these three players, all eyes are on donk. This is a talented 16-year-old Russian youngster who is expected to have a mind-blowing debut. During his time with Spirit Academy, donk averaged an impressive 1.17 Rating, so big things are expected from the player.

On the other hand, Sergey “hally” Shavaev, the team’s Head Coach, is very optimistic about this new Team Spirit lineup. In addition to praising the players’ ability, he stated that it was impossible not to notice the talent of the academy’s youngsters. Especially donk, who is set to be a superstar in the CS:GO competitive scene. On the other hand, hally also mentioned that they showed a lot of discipline in all the tryouts they did with the team. As a result, they made it easier to decide to promote them to the main team.
