About The Guard
The North American organization, The Guard, lasted only seven months in activity in Apex Legends, as their foray began last October 18, 2022. However, the organization had good results in local and second-tier Esports Arena tournaments.
However, the team’s good performance carried over to the top tier, as it managed to finish in third place in the NA Pro League in its debut season. This earned them a place in the tournament played in London recently. However, in the end, the team was not as successful as expected, and at that point, the problems began.
Last February 22, many members of the organization were massively dismissed. Currently, the OWL team, LA Gladiator, and the CDL team, LA Guerrillas, will remain active until the season’s end or some investor wants to take them over.

About Sentinels
Sentinels are one of the most popular esports organizations in the NA region. They entered the Apex Legends competitive scene in 2019 and have had different important results. For example, first place in the Pro League Split 1 in 2021.
But the previous season was completely different, as they finished Split 1 in 23rd place and fell to relegation in the Split 2 qualifiers.
After these disappointing results, the organization stepped away from the Apex Legends competitive scene last January 23, incredibly worrying all fans, the team, and the ALGS.
With the acquisition of a new lineup, Sentinels gives a very welcome message to all these fans: fully supporting the Apex Legends competitive scene. This is undoubtedly great news for all the lovers of this wonderful esports.
As we mentioned, Sentinels will have the position of The Guard in the ALGS Split 2, which starts today, March 11. And the team is in Group A, which is distributed as follows:
- Sentinels
- TSM
- Complexity Gaming
- MLS
- Native Gaming
- FaZe Clan
- LANimals
- LTC Esports
- Meat Lovers
- Team Diverge
