Overwatch 2, the latest FPS released by Blizzard Entertainment, became quite popular after its free-to-play launch back in October 2022, gathering many players despite low expectations.
The first game update in Season 1 brought new skins, heroes, some packs in the store, and a new Battle Pass. In addition, the developers released further updates to ensure the balance between the heroes.

Blizzard continues to introduce new stuff to the game, such as maps, heroes, staff skins, and new game modes. With this, the developers have managed to keep the community that loves this video game entertained.

Note: Remember that this list below will be purely speculative, as still no official announcement has been made.
New Heroes
It is expected that in 2023, there will be up to three new heroes in Overwatch 2, most likely in the support and tank categories. Similarly, we can’t rule out that Blizzard will decide to introduce a damage hero in any seasonal update.
New game modes
Fan-favorite maps India and Gothenburg could host new core game modes.
There is no doubt that the new game modes increase the variety of multiplayer games and entertain different types of players.
New maps
Blizzard has announced that they are preparing a new map for Overwatch 2. This will most likely be based on the Atlantic Arcology.
With this new map in the game, some active ones will likely have to rotate or leave the official pool map.
New Battle Pass
The common thing in these cases is that, with the game updates, a new Battle Pass season arrives. These are expected to have different themes, such as Anime, Magic, and even Steampunk.
As customary, the Battle Passes will introduce different hero skins and some legendary and mythical cosmetics.
PVE mode
Player vs. Environment (PvE) mode will be launched in 2023, with different missions players can complete. This is a long-awaited game mode, which was announced after the launch of Overwatch 2.
The community has been asking Blizzard for changes in the following Battle Passes, which will allow their purchase in a chain, similar to Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 Battle Pass. After buying it for the first time, you are able to collect the necessary coins to rebuy it in the next season.
This will also undoubtedly encourage players to buy the Battle Pass and increase their play time to complete it.
