Dota 2 patch 7.35b analysis: hero changes

Dota 2 patch 7.35b brought some much-needed changes, aimed at balancing the game even more. Some heroes were nerfed again, despite being severely nerfed by patch 7.35. Others were slightly nerfed to compensate for the massive buffs they received just a few weeks ago. And others were buffed again.

The changes don’t seem big at first, but if we look at statistics, we immediately realize that they are.

Important hero changes introduced in Dota 2 patch 7.35b

Abaddon’s Curse of Avernus was reduced to a 4s duration and 50 DPS.

Alchemist’s Corrosive Weaponry was slightly buffs. Its movement slow is now 7% at level 4 instead of 6%.

Beastmaster was buffed again. His Call of the Wild Boar now has a cooldown of 30s, while his Primal Roar now starts with a 90s cooldown instead of 100s.

Bristleback’s Damage Threshold was lowered from 300 – 225 to 275 – 200. This means that the ability will activate more often.

Dark Willow’s base armor was increased by 1.

Dazzle’s Shadow Wave now deals +10 damage at every level.

Death Prophet’s Silence is now 5s at level 4 instead of 6s. And her Spirit Siphon now has a 40s cooldown.

Elder Titan’s Echo Stomp now has a higher damage threshold at level 1: 100 instead of 55.

Faceless Void’s Time Lock doesn’t proc on denies anymore. Its bonus damage was also decreased by 5 for each level. Void’s level 15 talent aims to further reduce its damage by giving it just +40 damage instead of +50.

Juggernaut’s Blade Fury costs 100 mana at all levels instead of 120 – 90. And its damage per tick was increased by 10 at each level.

Leshrac’s Split Earth now has a 11s cooldown instead of 9s. His Lightning Storm now decreases attack speed by 20 – 50 instead of 50 at all levels.

Lycan’s Shapeshift gives +450 HP bonus instead of +400, and +160 – 240% critical damage instead of 160 – 220%.

Medusa’s Mana Shield value is now determined before applying Eternal Shroud’s mana restoration.

Monkey King’s base agility was increased by 1.

Morphling’s ultimate now lasts for 24s instead of 20s.

The base charge restore time of Omniknight’s Guardian Angel was reduced by 10s at each level.

Outworld Destroyer received a lot of nerfs. His Arcane Orb now deals 1% less mana damage at each level. Astral Imprisonment’s damage was reduced by 30 / 20 / 10 / 0. Essence Flux now has an 80s cooldown instead of 60s when Aghanim’s Scepter is bought. Sanity’s Eclipse’s Mana Allergy doesn’t deal damage anymore.

Pangolier’s Swashbuckle had its width increased by 15.

Phantom Assassin’s abilities were buffed. Stifling Dagger now deals 5% more damage at every level. Phantom Strike’s attack speed was increased by 20 at every level. Blur’s duration was increased by 5s. Fan of Knives now deals 28% max HP as damage instead of 25%.

Rubick’s Spell Steal now has a 16s / 10s / 4s cooldown. This is a 4s / 2s / 0s buff and it’s a big deal at level 1.

Sven’s Great Cleave now gives him 3 – 12 strength instead of 2 – 8. This is a huge early game buff.

Templar Assassin’s Refraction now costs just 85 mana and has a cooldown of 16s. Her Psi Blade’s range was increased by 50 at all levels. The hero’s win rate is still abysmal (44.8%), but at least she’s a bit stronger.

Terrorblade’s Conjure Image illusion takes 275% damage instead of 300%.

Timbersaw’s Whirling Death now costs 80 – 95 mana instead of 80. His reactive armor was nerfed by 0.1 at all levels.

Tiny received +20 damage for Avalanche and Toss at level 4.

Windranger’s base damage was increased by 2 and her Powershot slow was increased by 5% at all levels.

Witch Doctor’s Death Ward was decreased by 5 at all levels.
