Liquipedia, an esports wiki, revealed the most visited Valorant teams and players on their page. These teams and players were ranked in a Top 20 list.

According to Liquipedia, the top twenty most-searched Valorant teams are the following:

Most people would expect Sentinels to be the most popular Valorant team, but their throne has been taken by Paper Rex, who took 2023 by storm.

In 2022, the Southeast Asian squad already looked promising with their fourth-place finish in VCT Masters Reykjavik and solidified themselves as a world-class lineup after placing second in VCT Masters Copenhagen. Though the lineup already looked solid, the roster’s addition of Ilya “something” Petrov turned a new leaf for Paper Rex.

Though Paper Rex did not win a title in 2023 other than the VCT Pacific League, their chaotic and entertaining play style has been loved by millions of fans around the world, who are left wanting to know more about the squad.

The second most-searched team is Sentinels, which shouldn’t come as a shock. They have Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, essentially the face of Valorant.

Fnatic was one of the most dominant teams in 2023. Despite finishing first in São Paulo and Tokyo, Fnatic couldn’t claim the top spot on this list and finished third.

The North American squad, Evil Geniuses, had a quiet first half of the year until Max “Demon1” Mazanov popped off and carried the team throughout the second half of 2023. Even with a slow start, Evil Geniuses were still the fourth most-searched team of the year.

The remainder of the list isn’t too surprising, but one thing worth noting is G2 Gozen is the only female roster on the list, barely making it in last place.

The Most-Visited Valorant Player Pages

With Paper Rex being the team massively Google’d in 2023, it isn’t bewildering that one of their players would be the most-searched.

However, it wasn’t the sharp Jason “f0rsaken” Susanto, or the mobile Wang “Jinggg” Jing Jie. To most people’s surprise, it was actually Ilya “something” Petrov, one of the more recent additions to the team.

Ilya came out of nowhere and turned Paper Rex into a title-winning contender – not that they weren’t before his arrival. Something really fit into Paper Rex’s playstyle and gained many fans in his first year of Tier 1 play.

The feat achieved by something is truly remarkable, as he even surpassed TenZ, who is easily the most-known Valorant player in the world. Maybe it’s because everyone knows TenZ already that he fell off in the rankings.

His teammates Jinggg and f0rsaken are also in the top ten. Meanwhile, Jaccob “yay” Whiteaker, who wasn’t seen in Tier 1 play at all, remains relevant at number four. The new rookie, now world-class player, Demon1, closes in at the top five.

Three Fnatic players have also made the upper half of the list, while Erick “aspas” Santos is the only South American on the list in tenth place.
