XSET appoints Jacob Arce as the new esports director

The global gaming lifestyle organization promotes former Operations Manager Jacob Arce to head of esports for the company.

Jacob Arce will be responsible for the organization’s competitive vertical in his new role. In addition, he will be responsible for the lineups in Rocket League, Call of Duty: Warzone, VALORANT, Apex Legends, iRacing, and fighting games.

About Jacob Arce

Arce has over a decade of experience in the esports industry. He also has 12 AAA game titles to his credit, such as Valorant, Fortnite, Gears of War, and Call of Duty.

Jacob Arce has been responsible for conducting professional castings for ELeague (TBS), FNCS Fortnite with BLAST, Alienware, and many other video game publishers and brands.

In November 2022, he cast the largest Fortnite worldwide event. Before joining XSET as operations manager, Arce helped build the Ghost Gaming organization, working as its Co-CEO.

At Ghost Gaming, Arce was in charge of overseeing more than 60 professional players and coaches across a wide range of gaming titles. In addition, Arce has extensive experience in team management, esports casting, and video game branding.

Thanks to all his experience, he becomes the perfect candidate for the position of esports director at XSET.

Arce’s promotion was announced a few days after XSET hired David Luce as its new Chief Content Officer. In addition, Co-owner and Chief Experience Officer Rob Martin left the organization. All these changes indicate that a restructuring phase is underway within the organization.
