The changes introduced by IceFrog in Dota 2 patch 7.32 are quite epic. Everyone wanted a big patch that would give birth to a completely new meta. But this patch was more than the community had bargained for.

Some of the previously strong heroes got nerfed, in the hopes that players won’t pick them as often. But some got buffed, even though they were already very popular.

Doom

Doom is now a terrifying mid-game hero. His Aghanim’s Scepter turns him into a kind of Magnus/Grimstroke with a long-duration ultimate. The hero can now cast Doom on himself and affect enemies in a 325 radius with its effect.

This means that if you have an ability that brings enemy heroes together or stuns them while they’re close to each other, Doom can simply blink and either ulti himself or ulti a target positioned right next to others. This could result in triple or even quadruple Dooms.

Needless to say, anything above one target getting doomed would result in an instant team fight victory for Doom’s team.

Doom’s agility also got buffed significantly: 11 + 0.9 -> 15 + 1.5. This means that at level 10, Doom will have 10 more agility than he used to have.

Ember Spirit

This is another hero that really didn’t need significant buffs. But he got them anyway because IceFrog loves high-mobility heroes.

What got buffed in Ember’s attributes and abilities will make the hero a lot stronger in the laning phase. The agility gain is 0.3 better. The base HP regen is 0.5 better. The turn rate is now 0.8 instead of 0.6. On top of that, the mana cost of multiple abilities got reduced by a lot.

This hero also got some nerfs. One is not that important: 300 movement speed instead of 305. But the other is, and will require players to be more prudent: the cooldown of Fire Remnant is now 0.5s instead of 0s.

Overall, Ember is now stronger than before and a much better laner.

Invoker

Players got used to mostly ignoring Invoker, which is quite sad. After all, this is one of Dota 2’s most spectacular heroes. IceFrog clearly wanted to bring him back in the spotlight, so he gave him some serious buffs.

Deafening Blast now deals 60 damage at level one instead of only 20. And every other level keeps this 40 damage bonus.

Ghost Walk got huge buffs. Its cooldown is now just 35s instead of 45s. The slow radius is 50 bigger, while the mana cost got reduced by 25.

Sun Strike now deals 120-480 damage instead of 100-475.

The level 10 and level 20 talents got big buffs as well: -6s Tornado CD (instead of Meteor damage) and +80% Meteor damage (instead of -10s Tornado CD). These changes turn invoker into an early game and late game monster.
