While it is true that at this point of the season, many teams would like to have a solid squad to face the first games and tournaments in the CS2 era, some are having problems and are not finding an optimal solution.

We are talking about the Swedish organization GODSENT, which announced two changes in its CS2 squad. And it is that the team announced that Johan “hype” Engblom and Erik “ztr” Gustafsson are moved to the bench. This is a bit of a strange move, as right now, there are not many players in free agency who can have a high level of play. However, this is also a sign that the organization hopes to build a strong, solid lineup for 2024.

GODSENT announce two key moves to its CS2 roster

Through a post on its official Twitter/X account, GODSENT announced that ztr and hype are sent to the bench of its CS2 roster. Similarly, the Swedish organization also announced the return of Maikil “Golden” Selim as the team’s IGL.

Similarly, hours later, the organization announced its fourth player, Swedish AWPer Sean “eraa” Knutsson.

As mentioned in the release, ztr came to the organization on loan from NiP. However, with the player’s contract nearing the end, the organization mentioned that they would be meeting with NiP and the player to help with ztr’s plans.

On the other hand, Hype arrived at GODSENT a few months ago but has decided to take some time away from the Counter-Strike servers for various personal reasons. Likewise, the organization thanked him for all his dedication in this short period and wished him the best of success in his future.

With these movements, GODSENT’s lineup is as follows:

  • Nicolas “Plopski” Gonzalez Zamora
  • Maikil “Golden” Selim
  • Jonatan “bobeksde” Persson
  • Sean “eraa” Knutsson
  • Kevin “Kevve” Bohlin – Head Coach

GODSENT and its disappointing year and season

There is no doubt that GODSENT has not been able to show a good facet of play in this 2023 season, and they have even finished in last place in the most important tournaments they have participated in.

The Swedish squad finished at the bottom of the open qualifiers for IEM Sydney 2023, undoubtedly a blow to this popular organization.

Finally, we hope that GODSENT will again put together a solid lineup and, of course, have the expected success at the highest competitive level in the CS2 scene.
