The novel around the lineups of some of the most important organizations in the CS:GO competitive scene continues. We fall again on the side of the Swedes from Ninjas in Pyjamas. As we mentioned, NiP will be without Hampus “hampus” Poser for the rest of the spring. Now, the organization announces the arrival of Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke as their stand-in.

K0nfig will be the fifth ninja during the upcoming NIP tournaments, marking his debut at IEM Katowice 2023. Unfortunately, Ninjas in Pyjamas continue the bad streak with their lineups, and now they will have to play, once again, with a substitute in their ranks.

Chaos in the CS:GO competitive scene

While the first tournament of 2023 is not yet over, CS:GO is already in chaos regarding team rosters. After the absence of Håvard “rain” Nygaard in FaZe Clan, NiP loses a player.

Håvard “rain” Nygaard’s absence may seem insignificant compared to the Norwegian from FaZe Clan, but the Swede will not return to NiP’s ranks soon. The player himself has echoed this news and took the opportunity to comment that he needs to take a step back to “regain strength.”

As we can see, the player said:

“Thanks for the messages and thanks to @NIP for their support and understanding. I’m fine, but I’ve been recommended to take some time off. Sometimes you need to step aside in order to come back stronger. Meanwhile, I’ll be supporting my guys in the next tournaments❤️”

Ninjas in Pyjamas has confirmed that the Swede will be absent for the entire spring season, and K0nfig will replace him. He finds a team to play for regularly after several substitutions and attempted substitutions. There is no doubt that this is a golden opportunity for K0nfig, as this lineup has the potential to fight for titles.

K0nfig makes his debut at IEM Katowice

In addition to being part of such a popular and well-known organization as NiP, K0nfig will be wearing the Swedish organization’s jersey at IEM Katowice.

The Dane’s debut with NiP is next February 1, 2023, against MIBR in the Play-IN phase of the tournament. Although there is no doubt that it is sad news for the fans and for the organization itself that they will not be able to keep their entire lineup, the hype to see K0nfig is sky-high.

K0nfig has missed many top-level tournaments since he departed from Astralis. So, this opportunity he has under the NiP banner may be pivotal for the future of this Danish player.

In his track record, k0nfig has many champion trophies in Tier-S and Tier-A tournaments. But the one that stands out the most, without a doubt, is the one obtained in the BLAST Premier: Spring 2020 European Finals with Complexity Gaming, defeating Team Vitality in the grand finale.

Now, with the departure of hampus from NiP and the arrival of K0nfig, the organization has an entirely international lineup. The team’s lineup for the upcoming events is as follows:

  • Fredrik “REZ” Sterner
  • Ludvig “Brollan”Brolin
  • Aleksi “Aleksib” Virolainen – IGL
  • Danyyl “headtr1ck” Valitov
  • Kristian “k0nfig” Wienecke
  • Daniel “djL” Narancic – Head Coach
