Leading Swedish Esports organization Ninjas in Pyjamas has agreed to enter into a three-year partnership with multinational electronics manufacturer Samsung. As a result, the two parties will collaborate on a variety of activations in integrating Samsung into content produced by NiP.

Ninjas in Pyjamas players will be pleased to learn of the deal, due to the fact that each will receive a Samsung smartwatch. Meanwhile, the Esports organization will also take advantage of Samsung smartphones when creating content and producing footage for new projects.

What Ninjas in Pyjamas Has Said on the Deal

Speaking on the announcement, Ninjas in Pyjamas CEO, Hicham Chahine, stated that: “Today marks an exciting milestone in the history of NiP. We’re thrilled to have the opportunity to work with an industry-leading technology partner of this calibre. Samsung is one of the world’s top five most recognised brands and words cannot express what this recognition means for our brand, company and athletes in terms of excitement and possibilities. We cannot wait to integrate their products and technology as a crucial and enhancing part of Ninjas in Pyjamas.”

It has been a busy time for NiP, with Samsung becoming its sixth partner. English Premier League football club Leeds United and online bookmaker Betway were already on board, with the Swedish organization having been keen to team up with those from other markets in an attempt to maximize its exposure.

Why Samsung Has Long Been Active in the Esports Community

The deal will also be beneficial to Samsung, with Head of Mobile as Samsung Electronics Nordics, Oscar Otteborn having had the following to say on the deal: “We are very excited to collaborate with one of the absolute best esport teams in the world, Ninjas in Pyjamas. Esport athletes and organisations are cutting-edge when it comes to creating engaging content to their massive following and fanbase, where our Samsung mobile technology can help them continue breaking new barriers and take their sport to the next level.”

Samsung has partnered with a host of other Esports organizations in the past, while it is unlikely to be the end of such deals for Ninjas in Pyjamas. We look forward to seeing how the arrangement with Samsung will work.
