New game modes and ARAM changes are coming to LoL

In the latest developer video diary, Brightmoon and Meddler, two Riot Games developers have talked about Clash for League of Legends Season 13. They announced that the game mode will return in March 2023 alongside ARAM Clash and will soon be available for the SEA region.

About Clash

Since its launch in February 2020, Clash has been a trendy game among players of all levels. In League of Legends, the primary mission of this game mode is to create a team with friends and other players. In addition, they compete against other teams in a group tournament format.

Because it allows players to enjoy the competitive aspect of League of Legends without the need to make a long-term commitment to a club or organization, undoubtedly, Clash is a unique game mode.

To play Clash, players first need to form a team of at least five people. After that, friends, players in their area, or a combination can form a team.

After forming a team, members must register for the next Clash competition in their area. There is a registration period and then a scouting period, usually lasting a few days, where teams can study their opponents.

Tournament format and duration

The League of Legends Clash tournament usually takes place on weekends and includes several rounds of play. The format varies depending on the number of teams competing, but the single elimination bracket is the most popular option.

Each team will battle against the other, with the winning team advancing to the next round until a champion is determined.

Clash returns in season 13?

For League of Legends Season 13, in March 2023, Clash may return. In the developer diary video, Riot Brightmoon and Meddler, developers at Riot Games, stated that they hoped to have Clash available worldwide by March.

In February, the game mode usually debuts in each new season, but the start of Clash was delayed due to the social engineering attack.

ARAM returns in season 13?

Brightmoon and Meddler declared that the 2022 edition of ARAM was a success and will retake place this year. An exact date has yet to be determined, but it will be soon.

Other announcements

The developers announced that Next March would be an exciting month for SEA players, as they can enjoy Clash for the first time in their region. Encourage the entire SEA player community to stay tuned for all the upcoming information.

And to finish, the developers mention the rotating modes, URF, ARURF, Book of Spells, etc. About these modes, they comment that due to the hard work ARAM and the brand new Clash are taking; we won’t have a rotation of modes until the latter comes out, that is, until summer 2023.
