It’s now official, the Fornite Naruto commences with a mouth-watering array of weapons, skins and a host of mind-blowing challenges for fans.

For several years, the usage of IPs within the game has been a major part of Fortnite’s continuous success. Before now, it was the addition of diverse video characters, celebrities and movie stars. Now, anime is part of the frontier with the commencement of the Naruto Crossover event, to add a new level of excitement and adventure.

Rumors turned out to be true

Last week, Epic Games released a teaser about the Fortnite and Naruto crossover. But the teaser only heightened the excitement without revealing any valuable information. There was only a mere tweet showing Fortnite and Naruto Shippuden logos with Naruto’s acclaimed quote, “Believe it!” with the date November 16, 2021.

Shortly after that, images from a Japanese magazine started spreading rapidly, revealing massive content from the crossover, such as pickaxes, skins, and black bling. However, fans had mixed feelings about the announcement. While some fans were anxious to get the skins immediately they dropped, others were questioning the relevance of the crossover.

Nevertheless, Fortnite’s Naruto crossover event is live and there’s a host of famous anime characters and icons. The leaked photos that trended last week were authentic. It’s quite clear Team & steps into a battle, with its sensei, Kakashi Hatake, the titular Naruto Uzumaki, his rival, Sasuke Uchiha, and their greatest supporter, Sakura Haruno.

The new release splits into two-character bundles. On one side is the Sasuke and Sakura Bundles, which features Seventh Hokage and Anbu Black Ops alongside the Sakura Uchiha skin played by the latter character. The other is the Naruto and Kakashi Bundle which includes variants of the Anbu Black Ops and Seventh Hokage.

The Island is also getting massive amounts of Naruto-themed creations. This includes the fact that users can receive Naruto rewards when they find Kakashi on the island and navigate through diverse ninja-oriented quests. Even so, Fortnite has also introduced Paper Bomb Kunai into the weapon rotation. This is a feature regularly seen in Loot Llamas and Chess but Kakashi places will also receive it.

Visit Konohagakure

Finally, players will be able to visit the Hidden Leaf village which has been beautifully designed into Fortnite. Here, they can see diverse popular places such as the Ichiraku Ramen shop, and Hokage residence. At the end of subsequent quests, they will also visit the Chunin Exam arena and Final valley.

There’s no doubt both old and new Naruto fans would love the latest Fortnite. It’s a reality that Naruto Shippuden’s concentration on famous culture is proof that Masashi Kishimoto is a genius because his virtual world and characters have remained fascinating for so long.

Even gamers that are not fans of Naruto would love the crossover and the potential of many more anime crossovers being released by Fortnite in the future. There’s also a possibility this might happen soon with the likes of Dragon Ball’s Goku and One Piece’s Luffy coming to the scene.
