Moves and more moves in esports organizations worldwide. This time, we head to North America, specifically to the southern United States, Texas, where OpTic has announced the signing of legend Anthony “Methodz” Zinni as a content creator.
OpTic continues to wreak havoc with the signing of Call of Duty legends. Now they have added one of the most extroverted former players with an extremely fun personality, Methodz, to their ranks.

Methodz joins OpTic
After more than ten years in the competitive Call of Duty scene, Methodz announced his retirement in the middle of the CDL Major II in Boston two weeks ago. However, it was February 14, 2023, when Boston Breach officially announced the CoD legend’s departure from their ranks.
Today we officially part ways with @Methodz
Thank you Zinni for your trust, the laughs, and unforgettable memories. Your legacy will forever be cemented in Boston, and you will always be a part of the Breach family. pic.twitter.com/8EhJXmIgAb

This departure opened the door for Methodz to begin his new story as a content creator under a new banner, OpTic Gaming.
OpTic unites two great friends
Now, OpTic Gaming has stepped forward to unite two great friends, Methodz and Seth “Scump” Abner, another of the legends in CoD history for its content creator division.
As mentioned, Scump launched his own CDL Watch Party, which was a huge success, as he largely dominated the audience numbers in Major II. In fact, in its first broadcast, Scump reached a peak of 95,000 viewers, surpassing the official CDL broadcast by almost 30,000.
With the addition of Methodz to OpTic Gaming’s team of content creators, he will now join Scump in broadcasting the opening match of the third stage of the 2023 CDL. This is, without a doubt, an extraordinary way to attract fans, as you will be joining two legends and spectacular personalities to commentate the league’s games.
Not Methodz’s first time at OpTic
This signing marks Methodz’s return to what was his home in 2018. In that season, playing Call of Duty: World War II, Methodz played for several months under the OpTic banner. However, the two’s journey didn’t last as long as expected, as the organization had a lot of trouble finishing in the top 24 at WWII’s Call of Duty Championship.
The addition of Methodz strengthens OpTic’s huge roster of content creators, including several former Warzone pros and streamers.
Fans and former colleagues of Methodz celebrated his return to OpTic
Many community members, fans, commentators, and former teammates of Methodz celebrated his return to the ranks of OpTic Gaming on Twitter. For example, now Los Angeles Thieves player Sam “Octane” Larew said:
“Is this is fever dream”.

There is no doubt that this was the best path Methodz could have taken after ending his playing career as a professional. As we did before, we can only wish Methodz success in his new home and his new role as a content creator.
