Jordan “JKap” Kaplan is one of the biggest names in competitive Call of Duty, and now we finally know what he has planned for 2021 — coaching the Los Angeles Thieves!

If you can think of a top-tier Call of Duty organization, odds are, JKap competed under its banner. This includes OpTic Gaming, Team Envy, FaZe Clan, Luminosity Gaming, eUnited, and Evil Geniuses. He’s been with the who’s who of competitive CoD, and now he’ll officially transition into coaching.

Exciting times!

He’s a back-to-back Call of Duty champion (2015 & 2016) and is no doubt one of the most experienced and successful players of all time. Now, granted, coaching is a completely different beast, but if there’s one player who has the chops to do it, it has to be JKap. He knows what it feels like to compete at the highest of levels, and that, in short, is invaluable. Plus, he’s a household name and an absolute veteran — exactly the kind of individual you want leading the charge! In that sense, JKap and the Los Angeles Thieves seems like a match made in heaven.

Los Angeles Thieves | An Unfinished Roster

All signs are pointing towards a fairly successful freshman season for the Los Angeles Thieves. Of course, it’s still too early to predict anything with confidence, but the potential is certainly there. They have multiple top-tier players along with a seasoned veteran coach — what’s not to like? We still don’t know who’ll round out their starting roster, however.

If recent rumors end up being true, the Thieves will announce Donovan “Temp” Laroda (formerly of the New York Subliners) as their fourth and final member. There’s still no official confirmation at the time of this writing, however, but it looks like a done deal.

In any case, we can’t wait to see the Los Angeles Thieves in action! 2021 is shaping up to be quite an exciting year for competitive Call of Duty, that’s for sure!
