Kyedae’s participation in CONQuest Festival 2023 could be affected by her battle with cancer

A few weeks ago, it was announced that 100 Thieves content creator Kyedae “Kyedae” Shymko had been diagnosed with cancer. Unfortunately, at the moment, the young girl is battling her disease; therefore, Kyedae informed all her fans in the Philippines that it is very likely that she will not be able to be present at CONQuest Festival 2023.

Kyedae’s Health Problems

Earlier in March, Kyedae informed all her fans that she had been diagnosed with cancer. Then, in a sad Twitter post, she informed everyone that she had acute myeloid leukemia. This type of cancer directly affects the bone marrow and, in turn, the blood. After receiving her diagnosis, Kyedae started receiving treatment to combat her illness.

Kyedae hosts CONQuest Festival

As we mentioned before, Kyedae is a content creator for 100 Thieves, but she is also a Twitch streamer. This year the young streamer had been invited to be part of the group of presenters at the annual video game convention in the Philippines; we are talking about the CONQuest Festival.

Kyedae, along with all the talents and influencers, will be in charge of presenting this magnificent event for the video game lovers of the region. In February, Kyedae was invited to attend the CONQuest Festival from June 2 to 4.

However, her participation may be affected by her health problems. During her last Twitch stream, the young girl was skeptical about possibly attending the festival in the Philippines.

Kyedae talks about her participation in CONQuest Festival

Recently, Kyedae has been talking to all her fans, especially those in the Philippines, about her witnessing the festival coming up in a few weeks.

Kyedae, in her last broadcast, commented that her health had greatly deteriorated due to her illness and treatment. She also commented that she already has some chemotherapy sessions scheduled. Consequently, the young streamer doubts if she can make the trip by the festival date. Kyedae affirms that she will try to rest a lot to try to attend the CONQuest Festival.

Kyedae’s track record as a presenter

Kyedae was also invited to the CONQuest Festival last year, and her presentation was undoubtedly successful. The streamer has a great talent as a presenter, and she proved it in the final of the Alliance Games.

On the other hand, she has also participated with other streamers in the VALORANT showmatch and has held meetings with her fans.

During last year’s festival, the streamer told all her fans in the region that she would be back for this year’s festival. Kyedae even stated that for this year, she would not be going alone but would be bringing her fiancé Tyson “TenZ” Ngo, the professional VALORANT player. However, her current health condition may cause the young girl not to keep her promise to the Filipinos, who will undoubtedly understand why she is absent.
