As expected, LCS team Immortals continues to change its lineup for the Summer Split 2023. However, this time, the organization announced that the team’s most veteran player, Mohamed “Revenge” Kaddoura, is no longer part of the team.

These moves are, without a doubt, completely expected by this team because after finishing in ninth place in the table, it was obvious that the organization decided to make drastic changes. However, the fact that it was their most veteran player who was the first to leave may be news that surprises more than one in the community.

Immortals announces the departure of Revenge

A few hours ago, Immortals announced, with a farewell video commemorating the player’s best plays, the departure of Revenge from its League of Legends lineup ahead of the Summer Split 2023.

As mentioned, Revenge was the longest-tenured player (in terms of time on the team) in the Immortals lineup, with over two years on the team. On the other hand, many in the community do not fully explain the reasons for Revenge’s departure from the team, as the player was, by far, the best player in the terrible Split they played.

Furthermore, other personalities in the scene, such as, for example, Sage Datuin, a well-known reporter in the VALORANT and LoL scene, said:

“I’m shocked, truthfully. Hope you land on your feet. You had a great split”.

Revenge announces he is a free agent

Revenge, who is only 23 years old, announced that he is now a free agent through his official Twitter account. In addition, the player thanked the organization for the two and a half years he was with the team, where they allowed him to grow and become a better professional. He also said he is looking for a new home in the LCS.

On the other hand, Revenge’s departure becomes the second move made by the organization toward the Summer Split 2023. On April 17, the organization announced the signing of LEC and LCS veteran Erik “Treatz” Wessén, who will be the new Immortals Support.

However, the organization has not yet announced who will replace Revenge in the team’s starting lineup. Immortals still have enough time to make changes and look for players since the LCS Summer Split 2023 starts next June 1; they have a month and a half to assemble a more competitive team.

Right now, we can only wait for the official announcements from Immortals announcing the changes they must make in their lineup. Now they will have to look for a Top Laner to replace Revenge, and from what has been observed in the league market in recent weeks, this announcement will likely come very soon.
