High Stakes at BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS

BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS only has two more competitive days to be played. One is taking place today and one is scheduled for September 22^nd. In this article, I will take a brief look at what the current situation is after the first 7 competitive days and what is likely to happen next.

BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS Current Results

So far, BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS has been dominated by the teams that entered the tournament as favorites. Here’s the complete standings table:

• 1^st place: Vikin.gg: 12 W – 2 L (counted in individual games)
• 2^nd place: HellRaisers: 8 W – 2 L
• 3^rd place: mudgolems: 8 W – 2 L
• 4^th place: Ninjas in Pyjamas: 8 W – 4 L
• 5^th place: 5men: 5 W – 7 L
• 6^th place: Khan: 6 W – 6 L
• 7^th place: Team Unique: 5 W – 7 L
• 8^th place: Team Empire: 3 W – 13 L
• 9^th place: B8: 1 W – 13 L

From these results, you can clearly see that Vikin.gg is unstoppable at this level and that two other teams are also doing well: HellRaisers and mudgolems.

HellRaisers

This team is totally changed from what it used to be just 3 months ago. RodjER is gone, Miposhka is gone, and the core that remains is made up of Nix, Funn1k, and xannii. The first two of these players are well-known. Nix is modestly successful while Funn1k is a Na’Vi and Team Empire legend. The main issue however is that he hasn’t done anything significant since the end of 2015. So in the last 5 years, Funn1k’s been trying and failing to get back to the top (at least regionally) with a variety of teams: LQ, Double Dimension, M19, MEGA-LADA E-sports, Aachen City Esports, and now HellRaisers.

The main reason why HR has been doing so well at BTS Pro Series Season 3 Europe/CIS has to do with the stand-ins. Both Lil and nongrata are exceptional players and at this competitive level, their experience is gold.

mudgolems

This is FATA’s new team and 33 is also part of it. Thanks to these two world-class players, mudgolems has excellent chances of winning at this competitive level. And as time goes by, the roster will only get stronger under FATA’s leadership. Within a month, if mudgolems doesn’t disband, I expect them to turn into a veritable force at the regional level.

Upcoming matches

Given that the top 4 teams advance to the Upper Bracket of the Playoffs Stage and that Vikin.gg is already guaranteed a top 4 place, the big matches are those that involve the 2^nd – 6^th ranked teams. In particular, HR will have a decisive match against Unique, which they should absolutely win. Also, mudgolems will have one challenging match (against Vikin.gg) and two easy ones (against Unique and B8). Normally, they should be able to draw against Vikin.gg and win against the other two opponents.

Another big match will take place on September 22^nd, between NiP and 5men. A lot can change based on the result of this dispute, so make sure you don’t lose it.
