Major tournament organizer ESL has formally announced its 2025 Dota 2 competitive calendar under its ESL Pro Tour brand.
According to a report from Esports Insider, the ESL Dota 2 calendar includes 5 total events, which incorporates three seasons of DreamLeague and two ESL One Dota tournaments.
“The Dota 2 events will continue being a part of the ESL Pro Tour brand, ESL’s own Dota 2 tournament circuit with open competitions and large-scale LAN events that feature prize pools up to US$1 million,” Esports Insider reported.
This year, there were also two ESL One events and 3 DreamLeague Seasons. The ESL One events were announced to be held in the UK and somewhere in Asia.
The Riyadh Masters, meanwhile, will also take place this year and will see the best placed ESL Pro Tour team.
By 2025, DreamLeague Season 25 will commence by February or March, with the ESL One Europe event to be held in April. There will also be two consecutive seasons in May and November, with an ESL One Asia event expected to close the year by December.
Back in 2023, the ESL Pro Tour was revamped with the return of DreamLeague as one of its main LAN Events. The Pro Tour had a total of 6 events.
ESL announced this news after its main competitor, BLAST, it will enter Dota 2 through BLAST Slam events for both this year and 2025. Back in March, PGL also announced its own 8 big Dota 2 events between 2024 and 2026.
