While we usually give much good news on our website, some are not so good. For this time, we deeply regret to announce the death of a former SK Gaming player in its Clash Royale division, Justus “Flobby” von Eitzen.

The esports community is shocked by the news, as the 22-year-old left a farewell letter, so his death has been made official as a suicide.

Flobby dies by suicide

On March 14 in the evening hours, SK Gaming announced devastating news on its official Twitter account. It is about Flobby, one of the first players of the Clash Royale division of Fnatic, who decided to take his own life by causing a car accident.

Flobby was considered at the time one of the best Clash Royale players in the world, and thanks to this, he had many successes within an organization as recognized as SK Gaming for five years. Since the age of 15, Flobby has belonged to the Clash Royale competitive scene. However, in 2019 he decided to retire.

In 2018, the player and SK Gaming became the second-best team in all of Europe after losing in the grand final to Team Queso of the Clash Royale League 2018 Europe Fall Season.

SK and different European organizations pay tribute to Flobby

The German organization shared a very affectionate statement where they expressed their words of condolence. SK said the organization is “shocked, disbelieving and speechless” after learning the news.

SK Gaming said:

“We have to say goodbye to our teammate and colleague and most importantly a dear friend to all of us. We will always remember him for the light and joy he brought to our lives and to the hearts of so many.”

On the other hand, different personalities and teams joined the posthumous tribute to this great German player on their different Twitter accounts. Team Queso said:

“Rest in peace 😔”

The official Clash Royale Esports account also added to the words and said:

“We are shocked and saddened to hear this news. Rest in peace Flobby, you will be missed. ❤️”

Jesus “Soking” Valera Ruiz, former SK Gaming and Team Queso player, said:

“When i joined sk, the first day on Cologne, i shared the hotel room with him, he was so King, an amazing person. Cant believe this 💔”

On the other hand, famous Mexican Clash Royale player Adrian “Adrian Piedra” Piedra Garcia said:

“You will always be missed kind with me💙.

Anyone going through a difficult time, seek help, you are not alone@ and you can always talk about how you feel without fear of anything, in memory of flobby, offer help when possible💙”

As well as them, many personalities in esports as organizations have joined the words of affection towards this great player.

Finally, Martin Marquardt, CGO of SK, said Flobby was an extraordinary person who brightened up everyone’s matches. He also strongly supported the player’s family, who are going through a highly complex situation.

You are not alone!

Any small amount of support, optimism, or reassurance given to someone contemplating suicide can have a good ripple effect.

For anyone going through a very difficult time, the best thing to do is to seek help; you are not and never will be alone. Contact your local help centers if you have any such thoughts, as getting expert help, such as talking to a mental health clinician, can make a significant impact.
