Throughout the long 11 years in the history of CS:GO, all of us who love this video game has suffered, even once (or many times), the fact of playing with people who use cheats. Undoubtedly, this is one of the negative features Valve has not known how to fight.

With the release of the new Counter-Strike 2 in the summer of 2023 and the rumors about a new anti-cheat system called “VAC Live”, there are different reports by different media that some players have had the privilege of playing the beta of CS2 have used cheats.

New trick or cheat used by players in CS2

During the 11 years that we have been playing CS:GO, Valve has fought tirelessly (losing every battle, of course) against the cheats that soured the games on some occasions. However, with the hype of the CS2 release, we all expect that, without a doubt, that will be one of the main features the developers have beefed up.

Now, in the last few hours, a user on Reddit shared a video where he was in a casual game of CS2 in its beta version and, from one moment to another, all players fell to the bottom of the map without any explanation.

This was posted a few hours ago, and many users have reported that this could be a bug that can happen in any video game’s beta version. Besides, that’s what this kind of test is for, to know if some error in the game should be corrected before the global release.

While many players claim that this is a bug in the game, the reality is that it could be one of the first Cheats of the game. On the same day of the game’s launch, a user on Twitter published information regarding an alleged cheat that is already rolling on the Internet of CS2.

Details of the Bug/Cheat

According to different videos published on YouTube, the possible Cheat or error occurs when a player throws a grenade directly at his feet.

Now, when players fall into the void, they should eliminate each other with a knife, shoot, or simply end the round with the normal timer.

Many of the leakers and video game code connoisseurs have taken the task of delving into the code of the new Source 2 engine, and, as we mentioned, they found a possible Anti-Cheat called VAC Live. According to the leakers, this system, upon detecting the cheater, would immediately expel them from the game, and players could even restart the game as such.

However, in this beta version of the game, it seems the system is not yet in place or cannot detect cheats. This, without a doubt, is a very serious indication for the whole community regarding the cheater’s issue, as it seems Valve is far from winning its battle against hackers.

Finally, if this is a cheat, and we hope it is not, that is, what we have just detailed is a simple bug in the CS2 beta; Valve has to start taking action on the matter.
