Undoubtedly, the CS:GO community, now Counter-Strike 2, is ecstatic after it was announced last March 22 that the game based on the Source 2 engine would be launched globally in the summer of 2023. In addition, many players have had the privilege to try this new title and have given magnificent opinions about it.

Some players who have given more details regarding the new game are veteran and now VALORANT content creator Tarik “tarik” Celik and G2 Esports’ IGL, Rasmus “HooXi” Nielsen. However, they are not the only ones, as several pro gamers have been very happy after playing the CS2 beta.

Many players are still receiving access to the Counter-Strike 2 beta. However, Valve will analyze their Steam accounts and, most importantly, the hours they have played on official servers in the last few months to be eligible.

About Counter-Strike 2 Anti-cheat

This is one of the areas that should have more reinforcement from Valve in the launch of the new Counter-Strike 2. It’s no secret to anyone how easy it was for cheaters to use programs that gave them an advantage over their rivals in CS:GO, as Valve has lost the battle to them.

The reality is that anyone who set out to use any hack could do so without any negative consequences unless they were discovered, which was practically impossible. Eventually, we all had to finish games by playing against these cheaters, but this could change completely in Counter-Strike 2.

According to a CS:GO leaker on Twitter named Aquarius, Valve plans to implement a new Anti-cheat system for CS2.

As we see in the Tweet, Aquarius, under the VAC Live system, if a cheater is detected in the middle of a game, the game will be automatically canceled. In the lines of code, we can see the name VAC Live and, in addition, we can see that there is a command with the word “rematch.” However, this feature is not entirely new to the scene, as in 2014, the rematch option was removed from CS:GO.

A new Anti-Cheat is one of the most awaited by the community

There is no doubt that throughout these ten years we have had with CS:GO, one of the things we have been waiting for the most is a new Anti-Cheat system. Unfortunately, as a result of the many cheaters that we found on Valve’s official servers, many players either left the game or decided to continue on external servers such as FACEIT or ESEA.

The arrival of the possible VAC Live is, without a doubt, a new era for Valve’s shooter. In addition, CS2 is shaping up to be the cause of many players’ return to the game.

Last but not least, if Valve wants to copy anything from VALORANT, it can do so from its Anti-Cheat system called Vanguard, one of the most effective systems today. If Valve follows in Riot’s footsteps, we could look at an excellent system that gives players a better quality of life within the servers.
